I think like 1600.00 installed with remote bass knob on steering wheel. It was a couple years ago. Probably cheaper now.

Go for it if thats what you want. Like Pipe said: ( Ya get what ya pay for)
My setup was 2700 but got a nice custom amp rack and box to match the car. We have twin cars so check it out to give you an idea of what you can really do.

Don't discount second hand deals from friends. I sold a full quality system (headunit, front and rear speakers, sub and box, 5 channel amp, all quality RCA's etc) and did the install in his truck for him for $300. He is a good friend and is on a tough budget and I wasn't going to use this stuff after buying the Camaro so I gave him a smoking good deal.

In your situation OP just check the make and model numbers of the amp and sub and look up how much they sell for. I just saw some Kicker 12's on sale at Best Buy for under $50 and a Kicker mono 250 amp is around $100 and you can pick up some cheap boxes for that for $30. Go look at the stuff, write down what all comes with it and them google it. You'll see if you are getting a smoking deal or not.
