My L99 with a tune shifts plenty fast so I don't have to fuss with it in traffic and from light to light.

I think the ZL1 should have the option of an auto. Since it'll be in Vette price range I think it's safe to say that the age of ZL1 buyers will be comparable to the Corvette. Since the majority of Vette owners are mostly 50+ I think an automatic would draw more buyers from that age group since at least in my experience they don't want to have to deal with a clutch because of knee/leg pain. If I could afford it I'd buy a manual but I'm only 19 with no knee pain (knock on wood). If my parents were to buy one it would probably be an auto. IMO if the ZL1 is manual only it'll make a lot of people who would otherwise buy it buy the SS just for the auto.

I voted "No". Z06 and ZR1 Corvette's have no automatic option. If you can't row your own gears, you don't deserve to drive these cars. I feel the same about the ZL1 Camaro.

You think there's something special about moving a stick? It's not like it's an exclusive skill or something.

Tell that to a vet who would like to drive this car but is missing a leg, and
would rather have an automatic than a manual.

If you're not in the top tier of the driving public, Why I ask- should one the premier automobiles that will ever exist "dumb down" in order to appease the masses?! No ZL1 for you! I don't care if you donated your left foot to Haiti or broke your knee rescueing kittens. Too bad. No ZL1 for you! There is beauty and truth to be found in the Uncompromising. There is a difference between what you see when you look into Camaro windows and Mustang windows. Distill this cool factor by making the ZL1 man. only. Don't dilute it. This car is too busy kicking ass to take anyone's feelings into account. I can relate to a car like that. Time will honor such fortitude on Chevy's part. Don't wussify this car for NOBODY!

LMAO....... Like you're in the top tier of the driving public.

You're one of those guys.

You pour a bowl of cereal and think you can cook. Change your own oil and call yourself a mechanic.

It has nothing to do with caveman and everything to do with business sense. All I wanna do is be faster. I guess I'm smart AND fast. If GM knew they'd sell more offering an auto, they'd offer it.
