Angry UPDATE:After a whole list of problems, picking up from final repair.Guess what it was

Many of you know my camaro has been in the shop a whole lot within the first 6 months. So far this has been the timeline.

1st trip to the Dealer. Car could not shift at all.

Leaking slave cylinder
Broken shift actuators
Bad pressure plate
Broken pressure plate spring
Total shop time-28 days

2nd trip. Same day I picked up the car, red fluid on the ground under transmission, rotational chirp and really faint knocking from front right. In the shop one day later.

Unable to identify chirp and knock. ( Even tried to pull the "I think that rotational noise from the front right is coming from those Flowmasters you put on in the back)They Promised that car is safe to drive
Red fluid was coolant leaking. The dealership damaged the line when doing previous repairs. Replaced the line.
Car was returned with the chirp and knock and was told to return it when they have more time
Total shop time- 33 days

3rd trip. Car back to dealer for chirp and knock

Keep in mind they said it was "safe" to drive.....and the mysterious chirp and knock is..... SPLIT DRIVESHAFT!!!! Busted bolts on driveshaft! Sounds "safe' to me
Ordered new driveshaft.
Total shop time. Going on 41 days.

I was told friday that my car will be ready today. I only hope that this is my last time to the dealer unless its to get a new car! I hope I dont have to call in the

UPDATE:
I got the car back. Everything runs great! I have yet to decide if I will pursue lemon laws. What do you guys think? The lawyers requested I send them all the repair sheets.

Bummer Sounds to me like you need to find another dealer who can do the job right the first time

Are you dumping the clutch at 6 grand? All that damage looks like it is caused by abuse, not manufacturing defects. I'm surprised the dealer didn't at least accuse you of abusing the car.

In most states, that's a lemon...if you want out of it, you may want to check into your lemon laws.

Dude check your states lemon car, you are probably eligible for a new car by now. Most laws are around 30 days total time in the shop in the first two years. Just get a new car you don't want this car that is all messed up with so many problems and repairs.

No they have told me that I'm no the only one to have the problem. They also said that it may have been damaged during when they took out the transmission. Dropped it maybe? Because it didnt do the noises before I took it in but did right after I picked it up...how does a drive shaft get damaged after sitting at the shop?

I want to the lemon law! I have been looking into it and just dont know where to start. Can I still do it if everything has been fixed? Also I just crossed over 19K and the 30 day shop thing is for the first year or 18000 miles but a clause is there saying that if all the problems started happening towards the end of the year or first 18k miles. So I think Im good. Mine started at 17k

You need a new dealer instead of the lemon law. It's not the cars fault that the dealer caused a tranny leak and broke the drive shaft while fixing the transmission. You really only had one problem with the car. The dealer caused the rest by the sounds of it.

I am currently talking to lemon law lawyers through email () It seems I have a case. I just hate doing this. This was my first car I drove off the showroom floor. Some good news is that if I do decide to go for a lemon that the Axel back exhaust and CAI does not cause any problems. I dont want to get a new car but my girlfriend says its not about what I want and is about what is best for the long run especially since we have a child on the way and what happens if things keep going wrong after the 36k bumper to bumper. Also that I shouldnt have any problems like this on a car that has 16k ( had car since Feb. 2010)miles on it....not to mention 98% of the miles are highway.)

I would say for the sake of piece of mind the lemon law is the way to go. I'm sure the dealer did what they could but sometimes a bad car slips through the cracks.
