Question In Texas...so what can I expect from my A/C this summer?

Just as the title says, I'm in TX where it gets to 100+ fairly regular...

I bought my car in December, so of course I haven't had a chance to really push my A/C yet...it was 90 today...

So, what can us Camaro owners expect from our air conditioners on 100+ days ???

Mine is fine here in S Florida. Should be no problem with it set to recirculate.

On full blast mine got uncomfortably chilly after not very long, no matter how hot it was outside (true I'm far from Texas but we did have a few days around 100). Just give it a couple minutes for the refrigerant to start doing its thing and get past that initial blast of hot air, and you'll be a snowman in no time.

In dallas you have humidity so you may have to recirc. the air. In El Paso its dry as ever and it works like a charm. After about 10min on full blast it gets too cold lol.

I got mine in May of 2010 and went through the summer with no issues. AC kept cool but investing in a decent sunshield cover kept the inside nice and pleasant through those 100+ days. Parking under the shade of a nice big tree may keep it cool as well, but as i found out, birds were trying to keep cool in that same tree and got comfortable by relieving themselves on my baby! My poor car was covered in bird poo!! I only parked for about an hour (Plano, TX). I immediately went home and gave Sharky a good wash and cleaning!

I drove to work in said hot weather... And I had it turned on just the first speed setting, with a 30 mile drive... It worked beautifully.

I'm in Phoenix and it gets hot as Hell and I have had no problem keeping cool last summer, the trick is to get good window tint. I recommend the type I have in my sig - Formula 1 Pinnacle Series tint.

works great for me. Cloth seats and a Sun Shade so when I get in drop the windows for about 30 seconds blast the A/C roll up the windows and I'm comfortable
