I have been watching the C6 Z06/ZR1 market. Mods do not hurt the value of those cars. Maybe it's just those particular cars.

The Chris Harris video on youtube comparing the Z/28 to the 997 GT3 was more flattering of the Z/28. The motor trend article doesn't do it much justice and the car seemed off in that article.

If it has the heads addressed. Get it you're good to go. They should have made this car 650-700HP from the factory. It handles it no problem....

Frankly I wouldn't buy another Z/28 and if the heads werent addressed. Mods wouldn't scare me.

If you dont want to do full PPF, get paint protection on the vulnerable areas. Front bumper/splitter, rear quarter panels. The ZL1 add-ons rock guards also help.

If you can get paint correction then ceramic Cquartz pro or similar and then PFF over it. It'll be costly but your point will be immaculate. The PPF will offer max protection.
