Remember also, the 5th gen was extra heavy to begin with. So, you're comparing something borrowed from a fullsized platform at Holden to a platform (6th gen) that was designed to be sold in the U.S. and underpin the Camaro. Making a vehicle less practical, no matter how impractical it was to begin with, is a bad decision. Then again, GM has a long storied history of making bad decisions so it shouldn't come as any surprise, I guess. |

The Camaro was never meant to be a full-size vehicle , 5th gen was built on that platform ,maybe that was the bad decision . The 6th gen Camaro has pushed the level of performance through the roof , putting down track times better then Porsche ,Ferrari , Ford and Corvette and that is just from the SS 1LE .You may think that GM made a bad decision with the 6th being impractical but the performance world don’t , and if someone can’t fit golf clubs in the trunk then that’s just too bad for them . To me the 5th gen backseat is as impractical as the 6th. Kids can fit unit and that’s about it

The article is still interesting today:
1969 Camaro & 2010 Camaro Comparison The fact is Mustang is reinventing the segment & Camaro is following suit.
