I liked the show and was able to look over all of the repeated film clips and V8 pictures while talking about V6 models. The automation is outstanding - knowing that you can get a car built to such high tolerances is great.

I wish they had tours at the plant - I'd take a trip to Canada.

I would have liked to know how the cars went from bare metal to that Olive color (Primer?) The narrator messed that up a bit.. Are they sprayed and baked? or submerged? That part was confusing..

To the people at the plant listening - great job!!

I believe it is better for GM to promote the fuel efficient V6 than the 426 HP V8 In today’s climate.

I think the show was cool. How many people can say they have this show for the factory that built there car?

About half way through, when they are working with the engine/tranny, you can see a computer screen with a partial VIN on it. I was looking for one through the whole show. the VIN on the screen was 36xxx I forget ther rest but it was in the 36K run. When I can youtube it I will find the VIN....

Anyone who owns a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche or Corvette. Oh and a John Deere combine, M1 tank or appachee helicopter...

Did anyone notice that there was an Artic White on the assembly line. I guess they were being produced earlier than we thought.

I have to say that the manufacturing and assembly process is simply amazing. I am an aerospace engineer and have seen some of the latest technology at work in manufacturing. But to be honest, the Oshawa plant has got manufacturing processes, (including "lean" and "just in time"), tooling, robotics and precision laser alignment and measuring systems that put most aerospace manufacturing to shame.

As much as I hate to see a robot replace a human on the assembly line, you can not argue with the quality and reapeatability that the machines can produce. I am so pleased with the quality of the fit and finish of my Camaro. This is due, in part, to those machines. Did you see the laser align the dash assembly and windshield before installation? And robots applying the sealant? Nothing will get missed. Ever! There is nothing like the human touch in some operations like checking the paint quality.

Previous generations were not built with robots or lasers. All done by hand. Yes. There were fuxtures that keyed off of tooling points to keep the car aligned and square, but nothing like today. It was up to the assemblers to build in the quality. That doesn't always work. I had gen 2 and 3 Camaros. Quality was not even close to gen 5. Remember seeing a car that always had problems and saying, "must have been built on a Monday"? (Assembly line workers hung over?) In engineering, your tasked to build in quality early in the design. That is clearly how has this car was designed.

Yeah. I had real issues with the build quality of previous generation Camaros. But not only is the Camaro back and beautiful, it is one of the best built cars on the road!

Thank you Chevrolet and Oshawa!!!

I forgot it was on and when I came home, turned the TV on, and saw TiVo recording it and scared my 2-year-old when I yelled with excitement.

I didn't like the whole thing about the V6/V8 thing either. Oh well. Most everything else was great and I'm so glad I recorded it. I'll be watching it again tonight

it was awesome to watch, technology is just amazing how those robots do all that. I would love a tour of both factories in real life.
