I installed mine a few weeks ago. I followed instructions and disconnected the negative at the battery during install, no CEL or problems.

thanks to others advice on this site...did not pull positive cable- simply removed fuse #5 and #20 (both are 15 amp fuses). Did the installation and then replaced #5 and then #20 fuses, started the car and No cel.

good luck.

I do wonder about the way the "torque management" engine control works with this engine. Some are saying that it will still limit gains after it re-learns what is on the car or added to the car. I was wondering if these gains go away after a few restarts. Anyone had one long enough to know?

Steady as she goes. I've had mine installed for 2 weeks or better now and still getting great 0-60 times. Recent runs and my KAT Matrix meter still records vey low 5's for my car, 5.02, 5.04, 5.07 in no particular order.

Disclaimer: Don't know how accurate the 3-Axis meter is but it is consistant and gives me a good baseline.

67 GTO ... What exhaust did you put on ?

After installing the Airaid I did 13: 0-60mph runs. w/my Matrix.
I used the Drag Times calculator to get the DA for each run.(with Temp.,Humidity, Alt., & Bar.Presure)

My tests show I did NOT HAVE ANY GAIN in times from the AIRAID Intake !

I got all my gains with my MRT axle-back Exhaust.(which I did First) 5.02 was by best run, that was with a DA of MINUS 337ft.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE:......... I read somewhere in a Thread that you will gain X with a Exhaust Mod. alone.
OR gain X with a Intake Mod.alone.
But you will NOT gain 2X with the 2 Mods.
For Example: X= 2 tenths. Sec. on 0-60 runs.
So you could only gain 2 tenths & NOT 4 tenths...........

Has ANYONE read that also...??...................

I installed the GMPP axle back when I first got the car back in May. Although a little, NO ALOT pricey ( $860 installed) I'm happy with the looks and sound.

I received the Matrix meter and installed the intake the same day so I don't have any comparisons. :(

I just finished installing mine an hour ago...took my time 1.5 Hrs. I pulled the fuses out (#5 & #20). Once installed I started the car and the Engine light came on :(..now I stopped & started the car a few times and still it was on...so I went around the block and then I stop & started again and it went away It does have a deeper sound can't wait to take out for a good run later. Now I'm ready for SpringAll the mods I wanted to do are done = Solo Mach XLT and AIRAID CAI. Now to enjoy the moment...

Cool!

When doing the fuses it seems like the car likes #5 in first... then #20...
