75 cars at one BBQ? 5 more and you would of had all of them there.

Kidding, nice ride

I owned a 2004 GTO. I loved the car and one of the things that attracts me to the new Camaro besides my history with the previous generations is the fact that Holden had a part in its development. GM resolved by biggest gripe which is the wheel hop. GM is using the same solution on the new Camaro as they did with the ZR1 which is kinda cool. I expect the suspension of the Camaro to be a nice improvement since the GTO was based on an old platform. Overall the GTO was a great car in my opinon. I regret every day having sold mine so the Camaro will offer me the best of both worlds. I have never met a GTO owner that did not love the car and I suspect that the Camaro will have that in common with its distant cousin.

I think many of us would do well to remember this when we think about how much mass Camaro has. There's a reason for it

It was a bracket race...see the dial in at the top?(13.74-12.2?)

I had run 2 solid 12.2's and expected to win the $500 bucks for first...

Then a vette pegged the wall in front of us as we were getting ready to run...

It took most of an hour to clean up the track....(cooled off completely) we both broke out but I broke out more.

Let me know when you head up that way, i might come along as well, depending on where in NC you are. There are no good tracks here in NC and all but 2 of the dragstrips are only 1/8 mile.

camaro faster than GTO!?

with the GTO at 3725 lbs and 400 hp, will the SS really be any faster at all at 38xx lbs and 422 hp....i dont think it will...and the GTOs are mid thirteen second cars to the everyday driver...? what do you guys think?

A much better designed suspension that eliminates wheel hop will give the advantage to Camaro. By the way you can give up 10lbs for every 1 horsepower gained. Thats about 130lbs more weight but 22 additional hp (conservative hp sae measurement as well which the GTO was not subject to). The GTO looked like a giant egg no comparison.
