I went with 18" wheels for more sidewall and so I can have a set of winter rims I don't care that much about. I hope they do the trick.

It was 20º this morning and I'd be lying if I said I couldn't tell the difference between this morning and 2 days ago when it was 60º out. It's nothing noticible, but gives me a little less confidence on the road.

Just made me nervous of what might happen when it REALLY snows.
Need to learn the art of rocking the car. Being able to slam it from Reverse to Forward and back quickly. I mastered it pretty quickly in my Iroc. I drove that car in every Connecticut storm just about as I was going to College and worked in retail. And retail almost never closes no matter what the weather is like. Only 1 time I ever got stuck and I was parked in a spot that was on an decline that I couldn't back out of. Never had any issues on flat surfaces no matter how much snow was on the ground.

Just on the back?

I thought all four corners have to be the same?

I bought some LS heritage rims and put the Pirelli Scorpion 245/55/R18 snow tires on my car They were only $190 each at Town Fair Tire and they have a $70 mail in rebate. They worked great in the snow we got earlier this week. Didn't spin or slide once...

Got my all-season's put on this morning. If I have trouble with these I might have to go Ice/Snow.

I don't like the look as much, but these things ride really smooth. The RS tires were performing a little poorly this week with the temps in the 20s. At least they were to me...I don't think it was my imagination.

I checked tirerack.com and a few tire shops and it seems the cheapest i can get snow tires to fit the RS wheels is $230 per tire.... Seems expensive to me but i haven't bought tires in along time.
We get serious snow up here in Montreal, I got a set of Goodyear UltraGrip on 18 '' wheels, we just got our first 12'' of snow this week. Commute went really well.

I have a 2009 GMC Yukon to deal with the snow. The Camaro is going into the garage for hibernation. :p

tire rack.com 4 8X18 and 4 225/60rl18 mounted and balanced with lugs and delivery $856.00 its worth it the you get more time on your 20" tires and don't get salt and crap on your polished rims.

We put those Winter Force on 4 Heritage wheels ( the all seasons are for sale) and she is better in snow and ice than most cars I've driven. Posi with traction control...outstanding!

Most of you guys have this all wrong. SS Summer tires "with or without snow" are dangerous if the temperature is below 35 degrees. That warning on the dash is serious !. Snow has nothing to do with it. These tires are worthless and an accident waiting to happen. I was out in 28 degree weather on dry roads, sunny day last week here in Ct with my 2000 mile SS. The car was all over the road with these rock hard Pirellis. No more going out for me unless it's above 40.
