If you bought it to "feel special" because you were one of the few...you should have bought something that wasn't designed to be a mass-produced vehicle. This car was designed to be just like every other generation before it...a mass-production sports-oriented vehicle for the masses.

I'm sure you bought the car for something other than "feeling special" so I'm sure as more and more come out...it won't really bother you. Enjoy your car, don't worry about what the rest of the world considers "special" and you'll be fine!

I'm sorry but GM needs to sell as many of these things as they can. My personal motivation to own one has nothing to do with anyone else. I'd of wanted one if they made 1 or a trillion.

As others have stated, I really think you're over reacting. Yes the car is meant to be mass produced but RELAX. It will take quite a while for it to reach the magnitude of mustangs. I just moved to the metro-detroit area and I have only seen 4 on the roads in the past three weeks (I drive quite a bit), can you guess how many mustangs i've seen?

You will be able to enjoy your (false? heh) sense of individuality for months to come, maybe even over a year. GM is trying hard to market this car to many different demographics, so far rather successfully. My gf even showed me a beautiful two page ad in Cosmo magazine of a 1lt this month.

All I know is that I've wanted a Camaro for as long as I can remember, lifting the cover of my dad's meticulous '72 1000+hp beast dwelling in the garage, admiring it with my friends (he would have killed me if he knew). Always wishing I would one day be able to drive "THE Camaro", now I'm getting one of my own . Although it would be nice for it to be one of x amount, it's not what the Camaro is really about. The 5th gen Camaro represents quite a few things to quite a few people, scarcity contradicts many of those themes.

Yeah, lets hope they all have a better future than that "J" word. Let's be carefull out there people, and if your going out in winter conditions, with an SS or RS equipped car Please check into winter tires.

I wonder why we are seeing so many have accidents in their Camaros, When the Saturn Sky came out I was on that forum and hardly ever saw anyone that had wrecked theirs in the first year...

There were far less of them on the road, and likely more of them parked in inclement weather. We have topped the 60,000 range.

All true, and while a few Camaros are weekend toys roadsters like the Sky are less likely to be used for the regular day to day driving regardless of the weather. It all adds up to a lot more Camaro's being driven more miles in worse conditions, the ones with summer tires in the winter are just disasters waiting to happen IMO.

why worry about how many are or will be on the road?
why worry about how rare or not rare your color combo or model combo is?
why worry about resale value?
why worry about how much you paid for it?
why worry about how much you could or could not have paid for it?
why worry that girls will drive it?
why worry that it will not be special anymore if so many people own one?
why worry about buying a v6 instead of a v8?
why worry about what other people will think?

too much worrying in this thread!

hopefully you bought the car because you liked it

I am not a girl and I bought the V6. It is a 300 hp beauty. I bought it to be more practical. Sure, I could afford a ZR1, but this is my daily driver and I love it!

Enjoy your car! I feel lucky every time I get in and turn that key, and I'm sure I will feel the same 10 years from now!

I'm so amused by people who bought this car...or just about any modern production vehicle as an "investment". Cars depreciate...its what they do. MAYBE if you let this thing sit in your garage for 30 years you might get back what you paid for it factoring depreciation.

Get out there, enjoy the damn car, and give respect to every well cared for Camaro you see - regardless of age, engine, options or color!

What gets me is these people that spend 25K to 40K for a car and let it sit in the garage all the time... I think someone posted that they had their car for over 3 months and only had 500 miles on it!!! Why buy a car that you won't even drive? Seems like a waste of money.. Might as well buy a poster and hang it in your garage... Heck If mind don't have 500 miles on it in the first 3 days I will probably think it is sitting too much... One reason I sold my Sky was that from July to November I had only put 1500 miles on it. I felt I was not using it to it's full potential..... I am glad someone else will get to enjoy driving it..
