Any recommendations for tires on a 22" wheel?

Cor what are you recommending for 22X8.5 and 22x10,Did you have any issues with the wheel speed sensors and my Camaro is on 1.25 inch drop!!!!

COR, I spoke with the shop about your tire suggestions. They said they are worried about it rubbing, especially with the side skirts and front chin. Also, I plan on modifying the suspension, and they said bigger tires would rub. Thanks for your help though.

OminiuSS... The tires we recommend are 255/30/22 or 265/30/22 up front and 295/25/22. Don't be to alarmed by the profiles they are the same thickness as a reg. 30 or 35 series

Thank you. Not too alarmed by your suggestion at all as that was what I was hoping you were recommending. I do have the Eibach springs, but I went with them specifically because I wanted to run the sizes you suggested and the springs are only 1" as opposed to the common 1.25-1.5". Does anybody disagree?

COR, my tire connection is putting my order on hold. I really want the 265/295 and we agreed that it makes sense to install the kit first so we can determine what size fits without rubbing. Thanks for your help, bud!

Hey COR - one last question, and STRUT I do not mean to hijack you here, I think we're after the same thing:

with the 265/295 setup, will that work with the 9.5 front and 11 rear widths or do I need to scale down to a 9/10.5? Your quick help is greatly appreciated as I am going into wheel build soon.

Is that what you have IP? I've always admired your setup! the 9.5 up front I think is just awesome. I was trying to go with as big a lip as possible in the rear which is why I wanted the 11's. Now that I hear you are running 10.5's I'm thinking I may need to rethink things. Thank you!!!

Thanks, I think you might be able to get 4inch lip. I am running a 3.5inch rear lip so .5 of an inch is not that much to me. The ride is great and gives me room to move up to 305s or 315s. Plus I do not want to much lip since it gives it more of a chance to bend on a heavy pot hole hit.

Okay, that car is sincerely off the charts. Wow. Much coinage dropped, but worth it if you got it! So, no on the 11" rear you think? Go with the 10.5?

Depends on the vendor. Cor and Vossen are 10.5 others may say 11 like Iconz I believe. Its a personal preference. Get what you want. I wanted to drop it and have 0 issues which I have done.

PS, my interior mods are worth over three times as much as my wheels. and worth every penny

I would recommend a 255/35 up front and a 285/30 with out a drop on those widths but since you're lowering the car I think the 255/30 and 295 would be safe

Take a look at Rick Bottoms Camaro. He's car is lowered aggresively and has a custom body kit without rub. I'm not trying to bash anyone but make sure they're building you the correct wheel for your car since it will be yours at the end and it's you that has to be happy.

If the wheel is built correctly you should clear those tires with out a problem. You could always drop down to a 255 up front to avoid any issues

You could run those tires on that same set up as well. the 295's are recommended for 10-11" widths w/o a problem

That's correct John!!! We're currently also building 11's for the rear if the customer requests it. It would not give you a bigger lip though since it will be added to the inner barrel instead of the outer.

I ended up going with the 255's up front and 285's in the rear on 22's (9" lip up front and 4" lip in the rear). I did that because I plan on adding a 1" suspension (Eibach). I picked up a set of STRUT wheels so my goal is to put the attention on the wheels versus the tires. Good luck!
