thanks...I will make a video in the next few weeks - the TT acceleration needs to be experienced and, once driven, it becomes clear why TT are considered by many as the ultimate in F/I.

For my driving habits, this system spools about perfect. Anyone that is local is welcome to stop by and, if time permits, I will be happy to give a demo ride.

Charlie, I think you should make a video of the car from inside driving and from outside and describe how the car responds to the TT.

RPM is a top notch company and here is TT for those who want to have the ultimate F/I experience!

Not really....this system is straight forward and if you look closely you will see that all the tubing, in addition to being max od, fits comfortably within the envelope. Plus, it's all stainless or aluminum and not affected by the elements...

All the factory turbo installations have the same exposure - it's really a non-issue.

I always wondered how well the turbo setup deals with being under the car? I am a diesel tech and were always told they need a clean cool environment to last. Is this old school thinking?

You get more air ventilation under the car than if it was in engine bay. If you look at the above pictures, on the driver side, you can see there is plenty of open space around the hot side, and as the car moves, you get lots of air passing from under neath. Plus, you got all the weight close to the ground and in the center of the car rather than in the front and on the top of the engine.

all the factory turbos I've seen have the turbo either right underneath one of the exhaust manifolds (which is near the top half of the engine) or they're near the top part of the engine compartment.

in other words, they aren't in an area where they can be sprayed by rain and so on. I wouldn't want my turbos getting sprayed by water considering how hot they run...

but, if it works for you then more power to ya.

This point has always been my concern especially if you're running hot on a dry day, and you pass a section of the road that is watering the grass or somehow you splash water on the turbo that is very hot. That can easily crack the metal. I remember once there was this car that it was leaking oil during dyno and oil got on the manifold and caught on fire and some guy who had some water near him poured it on the manifold to kill the fire and I heard the crack. When we looked you could see the crack line on the exhaust manifold.

This is a question that I like to raise to a turbo manufacture, what happens if you pour water when the turbo is hot.

Seems like it would take an awful lot of exposure to some really cold water to create enough temperature gradient to surpass the iron's thermal capabilities. TTI has a bunch of bottom mount systems on the market without issue, I've never seen a cracked housing from some water splashing on it.
Water vaporizes at 212F which makes it very difficult to quickly drop the temp of the housing.

The location of the TT is the perfect location in my opinion not to mention very stealth.
