The last time we changed grills, headlamp trim, taillamps, and any fender sculpting after one year (on the Camaro) would have been............ .........................1969.

I gotta strong feeling that GM could have afforded to re-certify a damn engine. I saw the poll and I know that many people feel strongly about color.
I happen to love ABM. However, the poll is unscientific -- and the sad fact is that ABM did not sell in big numbers....regardless of how much you and I love it. (.....and I mean that -- I think ABM with Silver stripes is a stunning combination......) In fact, I loved 20U "Bright Blue Metallic" in the 2000 model year -- I had a Z28 convert in that color and I thought it really stood out -- but the color wasn't well accepted and sold just over 1,100 units. In 1991 -- 23U -- Light Blue metallic -- loved it -- had one --I have great memories of it at the Jersey Shore -- top down -- stereo blasting -- 3,900 of 'em sold.......... Going back to the late 60s-- Lemans Blue -- Marina Blue -- Mulsanne Blue - I loved 'em all -- Lemans blue did the best job in terms of 'blue' volume, but it wasn't in the top 5 colors that year (1969)-- Marina and Mulsanne? Not so much. In fact, I'd wager that most Lemans blue 1969 Camaros (or Marina Blue 1967 Camaros) you see on the road were not originally painted that color -but rather repainted when the car was restored... I don't make those rules......nor does anyone on the Performance Car team....... The public speaks by purchasing (or not purchasing) colors and options.......and sometimes it's hard to drop something you feel strongly about. It happens a lot in this business. I remember Cheryl felt very strongly about Bright Purple Metallic in the 1998 model year...(I still refer to it as "Pilcher Purple") -- and just as she felt strongly about purple, I loved Sport Gold........ .........both paint colors did a very dismal volume.............. How well will Synergy Green do? No one really knows just yet -- as I said - I suspect it won't hit 10%-- in fact, I'd guess 5% is more like it -- and it will go away. The REAL question is: What color is the next "hot" color? And by that -- I mean - wide appeal and high volume on the Camaro.........

From what I have read they used the certification for the Caddy for rating the hp on the 2010 V6. And now they went for a marketing move, a smart one in my eyes, to certify the Camaro so they could have 312hp rating instead of 304. |

...I just hope GM comes up with a good medium blue in 11'. We need variety. SG is just too "out there" for many of us who want something other then the other current offerings. Thanks for listening Scott! PS-I was in a parking lot today, and saw a boring sea of silver/red/black cars....and among them an ABM Silverado, that just looked AWESOME...No doubt in my mind that ABM sales would've increased markedly given more time in the marketplace. |

I don't mean this to sound mean or crass........and I mean that sincerely..... ..........but please go to the library and pick up a copy of the Wall Street Journal from one year ago......(or any business publication for that matter.....) There you'll find your answer.

So the 2011 V6 is the same as the 2010 V6, but with a higher rating?

I read through several pages of this thread but not all 25....just to much.
I never saw any mention about the adjustable passenger seat (power or not) or maybe memory seats. Anyone hear anything about those? If they come out I hope they are retro fit.
