If you have the RS package (and its corect) would have to be 20's in which case $170 is CHEAP for the Pirellis P Zeros that fit (they are $219 at tirerack). However you mentioned P Zero Neros... Those are not available in the correct size for the front or rear 20 inch wheel. The 19's however they are.

$384.00 for a warranty on a $860.00 set of tires? That does NOT make sense at all.
did the math the first night i got home. I have the same thing on my Harley and it comes in hande A LOT. hit a pot hole bent the rim and it was covered they picked the bike up and everything.

I guess I got a great deal then. I am learning as I go. Thanks everybody for making me feel better. The sales manager did tell me since the thread was so low on the other one when I bought it he would give them to me discounted price.

If the warranty covers and pays to repair or replace the RIMS and tires maybe.. but thats still a lot of money. I've had a lot of cars over the years and have damaged rims before but not often enough for a warranty that expensive, I seriously doubt that warranty would ever pay for itself.

$170 is not bad at all for tires. If I remember correctly, replacement C6 Goodyear F1 run-flats were nearly $400 a piece.

If they were 20 and the exact same tires that come on the car thats a 500 tire by itself. So where are you other people getting your numbers from??

You do realize if he got the exact same tires that come on the car thats a 500 tire by itself, so yeah the warranty paid for itself. Which would make a set of tires closer to 2000 for the whole car.

Uhhmm... what? try $219:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...&filterType=oe

Paying almost 43% of the price of an item for a limited warranty to cover it is completely stupid. In 15 years of driving I've had maybe 2 situations ever that a tire was damaged on the road where it needed to be replaced. The chances of damaging TWO of the tires where the warranty vaguely pays for itself is about the same as hitting the lottery. Is it possible? Yes, but so is getting struck by lightning.

$170 a tire is a pretty screaming deal. I took my RS pirellis off after 500 miles cause I am not a fan. I have them at the dealership now and am asking $750 for all 4 which I think is a sweet deal...but $170 ea is even better. And I agree $384 for a tire warranty is WAY up there!

Ok thats not the exact same tire that comes on the car tho. Thats not a run flat, which is what is equipped on the stock 20inch boys.

These are what comes on the car. Thats what I'm referring to.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the Camaro does not come with run flats. if they did there would not be a tire seal kit and pump standard on the car and a spare as an option.

Negative, the car does not come with run-flats. The tire I posted IS the exact tire that comes with the car.

Mine listed a seal kit on the window sticker, but I really doubt they are run flats. I'm gonna go check.
