How much lighter than cast headers would these weigh?

Oh I read the whole thing, believe me. I wasn't the one dredging up cars made 10+ years ago, although it doesn't really matter who did. The point is that it has no relevance in a discussion about what's available in the here and now. FWIW I test drove a brand new electric green '99 Cobra way back when and it was a gutless, wheel-hopping POS. I was driving a beautiful but underachieving '98 GT at the time and eventually wound up buying an '01 Z28 which I still drive today. But none of that will have any bearing when I choose between a new GT and SS sometime in the next 12-18 months. Both are damn fine cars, period.

Wouldn't surprise me. This is a completely new engine and transmission, so there will be a few problems until they've been on the road for a bit.

Apparently it isnt anything to do with the drive train, nothing huge at least.

Apparently there was an issue, but it was minor and is being fixed before the cars go out.

That is definitely the way they are making it sound like on the other forum. Still interested to know what it is.

And no one has even run the 12.6 in a 2011 Mustang that everyone is quoting but I don't see you jumping all over that. The 12.6 for the Stang is fictional at this point. Who cares about averages? I want to know the potential of the car not the monkey behind the wheel.
a lack of a lawsuit doesn't change the fact that there is a very real problem. You can pull your head out of the sand (or wherever else you keep it burried in).

i believe no one has claimed 12.6 on the stang, but they had
claimed 12.7, which leads me to believe its could be capable
of 12.6 in 1/4 mile.

Good and with that logic I am going to start saying that the Camaro can run 12.4's because someone on here ran a 12.5 so I believe its capable.

I didn't bring up the 99 Cobra either so welcome to the party.

The lack of the lawsuit simply shows that GM wasn't ignoring the problem like Ford was then. Do you want me to help you wipe the sand off your head or you got it on your own?

I think he means since the mustang ran 12.7 so early into the scene... that there is more on the table... being that it wasn't months till someone ran a close to mid 12. something like that, it's early need breakfast!

who gives a $hit what the cars are capable of, none of you could get that out of either car so why don't you give it a rest.
