i have leather in mine but have driven the cloth as well. honestly when i sat on the cloth seats i thought what the heck is wrong with these seats!? no where near as comfortable as the leater seats. i live in florida which gets pretty hot in the summer and ive yet to burn myself on the seat. also love the heated seat for my back issues.

I offered my post in this thread to give my perspective. I'm not sure how the point became proving someone wrong on their objective experience, but that's what happened.

To each of you that have perfect functioning cloth seats, congrats! I'm happy for you.

The one thing that bothers me about this site, and I'll share it with each of you, is when someone posts something that's wrong with their car, either to share the news with the forum or to receive constructive feedback, the majority of the time, you see posts like these, "never happened to me, geez, that seems impossible, I'm completely satisfied."

As many of you may not know, posts like those are very dismissive.

You could just as easily say, "that isn't my experience, I hope it works out for you."

I too have noticed at times people on this site with "problem blinders"...refusing to acknowledge some faults that are plainly there.
But in this case I think you're taking it the wrong way, they're just trying to let you know that there is something wrong. It's the opposite of not acknowledging a problem, because they're pointing yours out.

If there is an isolated issue with your car, why post that isolated issue as a reason to not buy your same trim Camaro?

And as for your seats, I would reccomend seeing a different dealer if possible to see if a solution can be found

And again, not trying to dismiss your claim or dismiss your posts

I love my 1SS, I just wanted the base, the only option I got were stripes. I'm a tinkerer and customizer by nature, so I'd just be tearing out factory options and throwing money away. This way every part I put in there will be 100% the way I want it to be.

I was really tempted by the IOM interior, and while I do think it looks great in pictures, I met a guy with it this past weekend and I think it would have just been too much for me to live with day to day. I'm more of a subtle color guy, and it is definatly in your face. I also like the cloth panels inside rather than the hard smooth plastic, feels more cocooned and welcoming to me.

as far as the cloth seats go, mine are great. and they're not really like the cloth seats of old, they seem very durable and i've taken a few trips now of 5+ hours at a time and they're easily the most comfortable seat I've ever had.

I don't regret the decision for a second.

Any idea's on pros/cons to going with 1SS over the 2SS. Thx
I think you answered your own question. Get your 1SS.

2SS for me I wanted top end.

Not planning on throwing away money on mods.

Don't need a supercharger, CAI, Tune, Headers, or Exhaust.

Do i really need more HP? Just so i can get

Just my opinion!

I love my 1SS. I added the gauge cluster and a few other mods. I firmly believe the cloth interior will outlast leather. You might want to sit in a Camaro with the sunroof. I understand you sacrifice a lot of headroom. Regards, Bob

Ordered the 1SS RS M6 Sunroof. I'll add leather if i feel the need. Love the sunroof as being arround 6' headroom isn't an issue. Now the waiting begins

Thx for all the suggestions!

To be fair, your initial post on the subject didn't give me the impression that you were making an observation based on your own experience only - instead, the way you phrased it it read like a blanket statement saying all cloth seats shared that condition, while leather seats did not have it. You clarified it so it seems you misspoke, which is fine, but maybe you can understand why initially people took offense at the idea. That people tend to be very defensive of their cars and choices is what I have noticed here.

In my own experience with my 1LT, the cloth seats don't seem to rock either. I would agree with those saying take it back to the dealer - or maybe another, if this one keeps telling you all is well.

Yup but over time that sweat smell that stays in the cloth is gonna make that car stink. Leather you dont have that problem. And side not leather isn't that bad with the heat down in AZ as my M6 that I have in AZ with leather never gets hot since it sits in the garage and has tint.

Did you sit in one? I am 5'11" and it is close with the sunroof. 1SS with cloth seats might be shorter. I do not personally know

Don't get in with a pair of sunglasses on your head. (2SS)
