They aren't going to void your warranty on door lock actuators or window motors due to having a reflashed PCM

I have NEVER filed a warranty claim on a car that I have modded, and I have modded a few brand new cars...I was ok with voiding the warranty on those because I always made sure I was making enough power that if something broke I felt ok about it..as in it held up to alot mre power than it was designed for and you know the saying.."you have to pay to play"
With that said...the idea of voiding the warranty for a few bolt ons does kind of hurt your feelings...especially if that is all you intend on doing. And with headers being one of the best bolt-ons for the Camaro and really needing a tune for it to be right...makes it that much harder.

Whoa...what was the topic again? lol

yeah they are twat bag. ask tony. or check the stickies on here. a tune of any kind = instant voidage of warranty.

voiding warranty for bolt ons = retarded

voiding warranty for the big mods = win

and tr6060 > your dinky 4l60e

and with headers with no tune, you still make decent power. I put out 400 rwhp and 405 rwtq with headers and the stock tune

Doesn't matter what the power numbers are... what was the Air Fuel? How safe was it to be running for a long period of time at WOT? How much knock was there throughout the pull? Just because it makes decent power numbers doesn't mean its safe/correct.

My 4L65E didn't snap main shafts on street tires and stock power levels :X

BTW

GM has adopted a policy to cancel any remaining warranty coverage to the powertrain and driveline components whenever the presence of a non-GM (aftermarket) calibration is confirmed
Door lock actuators/Window motors are not in the Powertrain or Driveline.

omg... I will scan the dyno sheet when I get home. I forget the a/f, but it wasn't far off.

it's a stock tune w/ headers... where the hell is it gonna pick up actual knock at? the only kind of knock that would be picked up is maybe false knock from the headers... but i never saw any of that.

and no... your 4l65e just explodes at stock power levels. There are people on here going low 10's on stock tr6060's. Has a gto gone low 10's on a stock 4l65e? and say the op does get the "snapped main shaft" problem.... tune = no fixage.... no tune = warranty work.

My stock tune with headers picked up KR around peak torque.... false.... but still.

A dealer could argue that the headers you added that gained 10rwhp broke the shit in your drivetrain.

you can undo headers and put stock exhaust back on. or have the dealer install the headers.

you can not undo a tune though.
