Has ANYONE actually ran at an official track with slips that show improvements in 60ft and 1/4 mi times with JUST a CAI? Seems like everytime I see someone posting new times for their CAI, they've also changed to drag radials, added headers, exhaust, TAs or any other of the half dozen changes at the same time. I'd really like to hear if JUST one of these suggested CAIs alone make a noticeable improvement?

i have a kn system, but from wjat ive seen all the cai's fit in the same place. so how does air actualy get to the filter when by all appearances the filter looks closed off with the heat shield? would it matter if a hole or square was cut down into the plastic wheel well? info would be appriciated

I'm very happy with the Injen......even though a lot of guys seem to think it is far less superior than the others. To each there own, but I absolutley love it.........

The roto fab is sooooooooooo pretty, it does not take up alot of room in the engine bay and looks like it belongs on the car.

Possibly but why? There are easier and cleaner ways of getting more air to the intake filter. Cutting the fender well will leave the filter open to the elements. You can take the OEM windshield waterbottle out and replace it with one of the smaller ones. If you wanted to get a little more trick, you could put a air deflector below to push air up there. That's essentially what the ADM Race version is. The question is, how much are you going to gain by going this route. Most of the CAI's show a 2-6 degree delta over ambient.

There are several different ones. Jegs sells some bag type ones that you can mount anywhere. Others have gone to the junkyard and found ones they could adapt. A One of the guys with a Halltech used one out of a Kia, but not sure which one. You could start a thread about what other have used to see exactly what they used. Would be a good thread for many out there.
