I taught my friend on my 2LT.
The stopping and starting is the trick. What worked for him was to stop and start in the parking lot, by releasing the clutch and not giving it gas. |

Took me about an hour to learn how to drive stick on a pos sentra. About a day to master it and about a week to be able to drive on hills etc etc.

The other options are you could quickly let off the brake, give it gas and take off kind of quickly, or use the emergency brake at the light to help. It all becomes second nature though. Once you continue to drive manual, you will be looking for the clutch in the next auto car you drive
