I would love to have anyone compliment me on my car, or give the thumbs up. At the same time i know there are guys out there that will presume you are flirting, so i would actually say don't initiate contact. If a guy rolls down his window and says nice car, just thank him.

Yes, CCC's story is exactly why most ladies don't look around at lights or anywhere else. I'm going to keep doing what I have been which is to wait for the other person to give a sign first...it's probably the safest. Just realize guys that just because a lady doesn't smile or wave at you doesn't mean she doesn't appreciate you and your car. She's probably just being cautious like most of the ladies here are.

But I am like you guys....I love it when someone gives me a .

I give a thumb's up if I see another cool car coming towards me...

If I see another 2010 Camaro coming towards me (finally starting to happen after a year of owning mine), I will flash my halos, put my window down, and wave like a 'crazy fool'...

If I am sitting at a light, I try to look straight ahead at this point, unless I sense someone next to me trying to get my attention, then I wait to see if they are giving me a thumb's up for my Camaro, or just trying to flirt with me...

Aby is so right...most guys have NO IDEA the caution that we, as females, must take for our safety on a daily basis...you guys can take your safety for granted, for the most part...unfortunately, we must always be alert and aware of our surroundings...

My husband had a guy in a van follow him home when he was driving the Camaro last year when there were none around here...the guy actually got out of his van and wanted to take a good look at our Camaro and ask questions...if that had happened to ME, I would have kept right on driving past my house until the guy in the van stopped following me...and if he didn't, I would have driven to the police station...

That is just a 'cross to bear' for us women...:(

Some guys might take our 'caution' as snobbery, but believe me when I say that is not the case for the most part...

From a Camaro guy to Camaro girls, my prospective is that when girls or women wave or flail their arms at me when I am in my car it's because of the car not me. If it had anything to do with me they would do it when I am in my daily driver. O and tinted windows are your friend. Thats the 1st thing I have done on any vehicle I buy for me or my wife. Even if it's one I only keep for a winter beater. I must say though that seeing a pretty lady in a pretty car would probably make me smile and wave but I wouldn't take it as flirting when they wave back. I feel women respect a gentleman more than a hormone enraged creep.

A Camaro can command quite a bit of attention under any condition but a friendly wave or thumbs up should not represent and invitation. A discerning lady can just about pick the way she would like to respond regardless.............with no ill will intended.

I usually just smile & wave if they also have a cool car. If they are at a station or restaurant and are gawking at my car, I wait for them to say something or give the thumbs up. Just yesterday I was getting gas, and these two guys in a pick up were getting gas also, and I could tell they were talking back & forth about my car, but they never said anything until I cranked it up (with, CAI, headers, high flows, and cat-backs---so it's damn loud!! LOL) and I heard one say...man that IS a V8. I just smiled and waved on my way out of the station. Men are so silly!

If I do notice someone looking and we make eye contact, I'll just give the nod. I guess a full on wave or a smile seems a bit too flirty to me, and I'm not conservative, believe me lol. If they wave or smile first, then I will definitely give one back in return. I will give the half wave thing from the steering wheel when passing another Camaro also.

Had an older guy come up to me at the gas station yesterday while giving the love of my life it's first fill-up, he asked how much I paid (in a half-joking manner) so I obliged him then we started talking about it. I let him look inside of it etc, he was quite impressed and said it was the 1st time he had been so close to one. Getting ready to leave, I noticed a younger kid/guy sitting in his truck on the other side of the pump, waiting for me to leave. I guess he wanted to hear what it sounded like, he never looked at me though, just stared at the car lol so I didn't acknowledge him, just left.
Spot on Michelle! Unfortunately, there are a lot of times when I catch them looking & I nod or smile, but what I get back is that "what is a woman doing driving that car look"

I then calmly leave them in my dust as I continue on my way!

But my next mod is definitely the tinted windows!

Thank you gentlemen. My windows are tinted as dark as the law allows in my state. When it's not too hot though I like to have my windows down.

You are right Drew, most of us would prefer a guy act like a gentlemen and just give us a little smile and a wave if they appreciate the car- I don't find that creepy at all and it makes me feel good inside.

LOL that's great!

When I'm at the gas station people are generally more friendly and strike up a conversation, which is always nice. I came out from picking up my daughter from YMCA camp yesterday to watch a guy walking all the way around my car with his cell phone. When I got up to him he said "dang this is the closest I've been to one of these, they sure are sharp." I started it up for him, he asked me to rev it a few times, and I think it made his day.

I'm a really shy person. I intentionally do not look at anyone when I'm driving (especially at lights) so they (anyone who may be looking at me, trying to get my attention) probably think I am a snob. However, I have been approached quite a few times while either washing or parking my car by men and women asking about it. I am very friendly and thank them for their comments.

If I see anyone driving a Camaro, I usually wave - male or female. It is a nice courtesy...

It would be hard to moon someone while driving...

I smile, wave, honk, and give the thumbs up! I have chatted with the nicest peeps in the world about this car. I let an injured high school senior drive my car last year at a fund raiser for him, and his friends tell me he still talks about it. Share the joy everybody!
