LT install questions

I had two questions that I cannot find answers to (I did a quick search)

1 - how high up does the car need to be to install headers from below? I have a set of ramps and am hoping that is high enough... maybe brings the car up about 10" or so. I am putting in a new ARH LT system

2 - What size is the O2 sensor socket? I have an old one I used from my Acura and didn't know if it was the right size.

3 - Any special tools I should be SURE to have before the install?

Thanks!

Here I think this should help out a little.
Not sure on the hight though, best of luck.
I will be doing a set of the Dynatech LT's very soon, so I have been brushing up on what I am about to get into.

Drive up ramps wont be high enough especially if your doing midpipes. it will be VERY straining. I've done 2 sets and i'll tell you you need about 18 inches of height, front and rear 18" height is best if you cant get more. This is a very easy and straight forward install. if your o2 wrench isnt the right size, im sure you will have an open end wrench that will do the job.

happy modding!

Zach

Thanks for the info. When you say it needs to be up 18" is that 18" higher than it sits or does the underside of the car need to be 18" off the ground? If the ramps are 12" and the car's underside is already 5" off the ground it will be at 17"... just want to make sure i have it right.

Thanks

I did mine on jack stands. You just need to get the car up as high as you can and make life easy. The install is pretty easy though so if you have stands I recommend you use them.

Check out my install/review.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...stall%2Freview

Three hours, 4 handtools, no cutting, easy day.

I used a total of 6 jackstands to be safe since it was the first time using the handjack on the car.

Enjoy and let us know how it comes out!
