Even if this is false, the chances of him having a new Camaro waiting on him will be very slim. Remember GM has said that they will be starting off slow and ramping up and that they will only be accepting a small amount of orders at the start.

If the tranny problems are true, I see it only affecting those that are #1 at their dealer and out of those only the ones who got lucky enough to have their order picked up in the very 1st batch. I don't see this as being that big of a deal as GM has 5-6 months before you start seeing them in large quantities to fix it.

I think Chevy/GM has been very forthcoming with info about the new Camaro when I compare it to how little info got out ahead of full product release for many makes/models from the past. If there is a tranny issue, I'm sure it will be resolved quickly, as far as the Montvalegolf poster, I think he simply got incorrect info.

Years look longer when you think about the camaro everyday!

Seriously I agree with you about GM "transparency". ANd this is what I point out. GM was transparent, to a certain level .. it creates speculations that are pretty annoying.

When things are completely dark, there is less interest and less speculation. GM knows that. I trully wonder if they like these speculations or just don't manage to control their communication.

That's why I'dlike some solid official stuffs stating the truth, the lies, the "maybe" the "never".

Does anyone know if the auto version of the GXP has the L99? Because if those aren't having any problems that would kill this rumor...

I don't think there is an auto version.

I could be wrong, though...

There will be auto available. (I'm not on any list though)

Auto is standard, manual optional.

Here's proof:

Assuming G8 GXP, I don't know if any are even out yet.

I'm thinking there are quite a few names left off. Lil Weasel, Robert91rs, 3whiterag, Chadrcr, and the list goes on and on.

Bottom line this site has informed people on it. Our members include other camaro site mods and admins, Desciples, the everday joe that is a student of all things Camaro. More insiders than can be counted, all here to help make this site what it is.

But its the cumulative effect of all of us that makes it such a cool place to be.

I'm touched

On a side note, no I don't think the GXP is out yet but the L99 and L76 have enough in common that if they are experiencing "issues" I have full confidence that GM will solve them promptly.

I was dropping off one of my Blazers at the body shop today (someone pulled in front of my wife two weeks ago) at my local Pontiac/GMC dealer, went in and talked to the sales manager and he's not expecting G8 GXPs until spring.

I just inflated it again. The point of the list is to point out who tends to post facts and correct rumors. Those people tend to be GM insiders and moderators with a few exceptions. I posted an old one a long time ago when someone posted something about what their dealer said. Ever since, I've been compiling the handles of members who contribute the most correct information on a consistent basis.

Actually, I'm holding all of you hostage in this thread until my demands are met.

DEMANDS
• Z28 fifth generation Camaro
• massive GM loans including a loan offer that would allow acquisition of Chrysler
• InBev to end their strategic acquisition of Anheuser-Busch
• a position in the White House cabinet :flag2:

It looks like you guys will be hostage in this thread for a while.

first off i apologize for a sloppy post. i'm working one handed here. just got my rotator cuff surgery done today. they found a hook in there to and grinded my bone down. thank god for pain killers.

anyway, i dont really care if its true or not. like someone else said, it wouldnt be uncommon for it to happen. what i find comforting about it is they are taking care of it now instead of later. alot of companies would just rush a known winner to the market, if they had the money problems gm has. im glad thats not the case here.
