the best ones believe it or not are the OEM plugs.
they are iridium plugs from AC Delco and are gapped properly. and NO changing the wires does nothing but change the aesthetics.

What came in the car works perfect unless your using huge boost or a big nitrous shot, then a cooler plug would be ideal.

If anything plugs and wires will hurt your performance. The stock stuff is great and will most likely last over a 100k miles.

Stock wires are very good but there are better alternatives as u increase power..
Iriduims OE plug is very good and can be run for most setups, but will not last 100K If your going higher CR, FI or N20 talk to the shop that you trust and and ask their opinion. I have used iridium in some setups and copper in others, most will use NGK, DENSO or AUTOLITE.

We hear it so much we start to believe it, and go out and spend 50.00 on the new fangeled spark plugs only to find out the car runs exactly the same or worse. In the case of the guy who never changed his plugs in 80,000 miles he will say WoW my car runs so much smoother with these special spark plugs. OEM manufacturers Know for absolute certainty which spark plugs work best in there engines, the probably spend a cool Million in testing to find out. I have always followed manufacturers recommendations for plugs unless the engine combination is drastically changed then it is off to the dyno with boxes of plugs to test test test still starting with the stock spark plug and moving to a heat range colder or hotter depending. Ted.

I've always used Bosch plugs in other cars. They are a great oem manufacturer of long lasting plugs.
