I got my black 2ss/rs yesterday and I'm I'm love. I never expected it to be as great as it is. Except I'm a junior in hs and as my first day with it iv learned that dickweeds love to spit on it and there's a small kinda scuff on the front fender flare I'm hoping it's just mud or something and not a light key scratch. Lesson learned I'm parking as far away from the football house as I can tommorow

Put a locking spin on gas cap on it tonight, don't drive it to school or don't park it there, way to much jealousy, people will hate on you. I was fortunate to have a '72 vette of a relative to drive to HS, bad things happen.

I paid 8k iv beenworking for a while . plus I'm not that kind of person I never mention money matters and I'm not snobby. And I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do I can't bare to have people mess with it tho. I need like my own servalince system or something lol. But for the car itself it's amazing I'm hopeing to get my bowties painyed and get a corsa cutback befor next month

jesus. wish someone handed me an SS instead of shelling out payments on my v6 for 4 more years.

if you really want the thing to last over the years, don't drive it to school. i know it's fun to show off but damn, just take the bus. i would never bring my car to school. by the time you graduate it'll have all kinds of dings and scratches from poor parking and dudes who are jealous.

or if your bus stop really is too far to walk, just deal with the dings and get it touched up when school is over

Alright real quick just to get it out of the way for my 16th my dad got me a tahoe then last week i traded it in for the camaro got 27$ for it put 6k down ( out of my work money ) and now i have a 200$ car payment for 3 years. So while yes my dad did give me a tahoe he didnnt just randomly decide to buy me a camaro.
And we have a very good survalince system and most the kids at the schools have nice cars so im just parking between some freinds and see what happens as soon as something happens il haft to find a difrent ride or something.

Kid, for once please break the stereotype of kids on this forum trying to say they have paid for a car they couldn't pay for on their own. It's great that you put down 6k but your dad put down 27k. Think real hard about what 6k plus $200/month would get you and then go out and look at the brand new SS you get to drive.

Thats not what i was getting at , at all i was getting at the fact that i was givin a tahoe witch is a great car and im very thankful for it the i traded it in and paid/paying the diffrence on it ? Everyone on hear is going to rip you because your dad didn't feel like giving you a piece of garbage like they got. Why cant someone tht has money get their kid whatever they want? Why does it have to be a piece of garbage that they get for YOU to be happy. Honestly when I'm older if I could afford to buy a corvette for my kid I would. If the family could afford it it is the families choice on what they are going to do with the money. its the kids job to take care of it and maybe even payback for it later in life. Give him a break.

And it is alot of power i agree and my dad knew that when he agreed on the trade but for the record. ( i had a cr250r at 12 iv been driveing sense i was 14 for the last year iv been driveing a supercharged v12 jaguar on and off ( my dads ) and my tahoe ) And i traded it in. Its not the typical story of oh daddy gave a kid with no experience a 420hp car. And i get what your saying and i didnt buy it he did but its not the typical dad bought me a camaro its dad bought me a tahoe and i got myself a camaro with that tahoe and 6k and a 200$ car payment
