I just think there are too many flat areas, so-to-speak, on the IP on the Mustang. I'll agree with the posts about the cluster on Camaro maybe being a little different (well, that's the term I'll use because I wouldn't say it's not as good as the Mustang, just that is definately more unique; I just haven't figured out if it's a good unique or otherwise.) I think there's something to be said about what Big' says too. However, for me, those aren't all things that I'm looking for in my Camaro. Shoot, I don't have much interest in the 2SS except for the leather and a couple other small things. I don't know that I perceive the center stack on Camaro outdated; it is certainly a different take, just like the cluster, than I've seen in most other cars. I think the script for the speedo' and tach' are, perhaps, a little awkward, but that's about as close to an actual gripe that I have. If the fit and finish is tight, then any of these little things I've listed will be pretty insignificant.
I do like the chunky look of those SRT seats though. They look super comfy' and supportive. I prefer the stitching on the Mustang and on Camaro but those seats still look nice. JMVHO.

Anything is better than my cracked, creaking, cheap, falling apart, plastic interior of my cavalier so I could really care less on which car is better on the interior. I had NO IDEA people were so picky about this stuff, I care about the exterior and the PERFORMANCE!
BTW, the mustang picture doesn't have a flash nearly as bright as the ones of the Camaro. The super bright flash IMO kills it and makes it look cheap. Take a pic of the Mustang with that flash and it will look equally cheap. We need some pics of it with light from a source other then the cameras flash. +1 for the Camaro interior |

this is alllllllllllllll opinion. all of it. My opinion is that i like the unique interior of the Camaro, but i like how the mustang almost looks more rugged.
And ive never sat in either car, but the seats in the mustang do it for me because of the color stitching. Quote:
BTW Muscle Master... if the 370z makes the SS look like a pig should we just start calling the SRT Moby Dick?

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Wow, that new Mustang interior looks WAY better than the Camaro, IMO.
And I am neutral between the two cars, overall. Well done, Ford. |

Note really, considering that the weight difference between the SS and the SRT8 is only 293lb. I wonder if a 200 or 300lb guy brought a camaro5, I wonder how much the camaro will weigh then hmmmm......

The Mustang interior (thanks large in part to technology in the center stack) has a sophisticated look which is perceived to be higher quality. The Camaro due in large part (in my opinion) to the lack of modern conveniences DONE in a modern way (not they arent hidden) makes it look dated which is perceived as lower quality. |

seems they are commenting on the products quality not appearance. I have to agree that GM doing some work in the designing of the camaro, this seems to be a do or die type of project for GM. So why would they cut corners and use cheap and shoddy products. We will be fine, I know this will not stop my purchase. But yea I was shocked when I got this in my email today, from google alerts.

Also...I want to submit that the materials used inside the Camaro aren't cheap at all. And I do believe any preconceptions of 'cheapness' will be gone the minute you sit in one. And...I have to say I think the Mustang's center stack looks cheap and severly afflicted by parts-bin syndrome. So I'm gonna maintain that interior looks and 'quality' is limited entirely by personal preference.

![]() I agree about the perception, but THAT is what I personaly like about it. Not mainstream. To me that same perception almost says, Euro rather than Muscle. The Stangs interior looks like alot of other cars that I've seen. The interior of the Camaro is, to me, Unique. And that's why so many fell in love with the exterior. So you're right and that's why I like it. If those guys in the article care more about what the masses think then they're probably better of with the interior of the Stang. I don't care what the masses think. I want a car that is pleasing to me.
