Ice on the Dic would not be good. It might get frost bite and fall off. That's why it warns you of the impending doom.

I don't like getting warnings about ice on my DIC, it makes me worry

Maybe GM should produce a southern model for you

Had it come on a few times here already. Nice of my Camaro to warn me of impending icy doom. :( Dennis put the winter wheels on the pickups today, so we are ready for the snow and ice.
