Is PQ picking on the kids again with viral videos?
![]() I love playing with my stick...it just feels good. And the smell of a burning clutch is something you have to experience to understand...definitely an acquired taste. |

Just traded the 2011 2SS Auto for an identically equipped 2011 2SS 6M! With the awesome power of the Stage II Pro-Charger setup, there's no comparison in any sort of high-performance street or track day driving. The auto searches & changes at inopportune times for no apparent reason. When I attempt to utilize manual mode, the down shifts are lethargic and therefore unpredictable. Up shifts are not crisp in all gears, so despite the fact that I don't lose boost the acceleration of the auto is not as fast as the 6M in real world high performance driving. Sudden, unexpected shifts from the auto with the Pro-Charger Stage II power can easily lead to loss of traction and potentially cause an accident when this sort of thing happens in the act of driving through a turn on the edge of adhesion. For everyday putting around town with a burger & drink, I'm gonna miss that Auto, but when it's time to get serious there's no comparison whatsoever. Thus, I've put my money down to make the switch!

Ah, the never ending discussion.
... but let's keep it going...A guy who's heart is set on an L99 could settle for a LS3 if the deal was good. But a guy who's heart is set on an LS3 could NEVER settle for an L99. It's not about the HP difference or even straight line performance. We're talking about more driving involvement. That's all. Some are content with [P]-clunk-clunk-[D]....steer ...steer... [D]-clunk-clunk-[P]. Other's need more. And don't talk about paddle shifting. It's just a hindrance that gets in the way of the [P]-clunk-clunk-[D] thing. Not exactly involvement. flame on ![]() ![]() ![]()

Paddle shifting is only a hindrance because of button location, that has already been resolved. I welcome anyone to drive a car with the buttons on the shifter then speak. |

With that logic, I agree, the auto is best for you.

This is as bad as Camaro drivers vs Mustang drivers. Maybe we should separate Camaro5 to Camaro5A and Camaro5M! Stop it already!

With plenty of experience shifting several awesome power planted muscle cars of an era gone past, I'm appreciating the modern advancements in automotive engineering, which allow these marvels to be driven/operated, easier and consistantly better by a larger audience, logically speaking of course the sales number comparitives of auto verses manually equiped versions add some credence to an otherwise subjective opinion. Having noted....I'm not disregarding the importance of individual and very personal choices, and so you may have yours and I'll have mine..........I'll also reserve the practice of speaking factually for myself and in fact, can't remember asking that you do it for me.........and as my early post only intended to point out contary to your belief otherwise.................Not all L99 Auto owners would own a manual LS3 if it were the only choice, nor either they be less skilled. Enjoy the ride..........I'm enjoying mine.
