What does your car make?

Mine is at 435rwhp Mustang dyno with 500 miles on the odometer at the time.

The weight difference will be far less important from a roll...and like I said...run a 1/8th tank of gas lol.

These cars are deceptively fast on the highway....dont think negative already damnit!!!
If you would have asked me who would have won in the race against my buddies h/c 4th gen I would have literally put 1000 bucks on him. Seat of the pants is a VERY inaccurate way of judging things.

But in all honestly....it will be very close and he just might get you :( (if he can out drive you your really in trouble...neither of you have much room for error)

+1

Fastest reported trap for 4th gen m6= ~108-109. Fastest reported 1/4 was a 12.79. Been on the street for over a decade. This is the end of the road for stock times.

Fastest reported trap for 5th gen ls3 m6 ~111-112. Fastest reported 1/4 mile 12.58 (12.43 @ 112 corrected) Been on the street a year and a half.
(I have been a member of ls1tech for 6 years and owned a 98Z for 3 years)

The 5th gen ls3 car is WITHOUT A DOUBT faster. A strong L99 is pretty much dead nuts with the quickest 4th gens.

I beat my buddies H/C 2000 z28 (built form parts off of my old 98) in a 40-130 race twice with the mods in my sig.

Were you mustang dyno? if so you are making probably at least 10 more hp than him.

but it is hard and very inaccurate to compare different dynos on different days. But mustang dynos do tend to read a bit lower.

FYI...my buddys H/C 2000 z28 m6 made 420 rwhp mustang dyno. Weighs in at even less than a 2011 GT by about 150 lbs...and I got him by one-two cars twice in a row. He even has 3.73 gears and we both started in 2nd (I had a gearing disadvantage as well)

You never know...have faith. But like I said....no room for error.

Have you drove or ridden in it etc?

Ls Camaro auto Vs Base Mustang autoV6(both stock $24g)

The Stang gets left in the dust at the line because of the stock 2:73 gears! The base Ls has 3:27 gears and the tap shift/performance mode won't hurt either. So for $24,000 Automatic there is no competition but Ford will sell tons of those neutered things.

Not with the 2:73 gears it won't get it off the line or the quarter and the stock auto trans will bog it way down.

find a hard time believing the manual v6 is faster which is it , but the auto is slower... if thats the case idk what ford was thinking

It's their base base package for 24g. Once you upgrade and start adding some pretty sweet performance options and thousands to the bottom line the Stang gets it for sure. For automatic base 24,000 car the Camaro holds the lead at the bottom of the pack.
In essence the slowest Camaro is faster than the slowest Mustang.

I'm sayin if you take 24g into a Ford dealership to buy an auto v6 Stang and 24g into a Chevy dealership to buy a v6 auto Camaro-the Chevy will out perform in the 1/4 and off the line.
For someone who only buys American cars with a 24g car budget who wants performance, style and automatic Camaro is the car.

Let's call them cheapest. My LS m6 is down to 13.88 in the quarter and isn't the slowest. Check the drag section and you'll notice some SS drivers are getting 14's(and I truly believe they may need a driver mod or something).
