Not the same thing my friend.

If someone was to say they beat a 5th gen in a 4th gen it would be very possible. Because anything can happen....but thats not even what I was talking about. I was talking about which car is ultimately faster...not the same thing.
In other words ... what can happen isn't the same as what should happen. A 4th gen can beat a 5th gen, but the 5th gen should win.

Yes,I think I get what he's saying. a 5th gen with boltons CAN beat a heads cam 4th gen even though the 4th gen SHOULD win with those mods

What was weird though....

In my race...we started at 40 (no traction issues for either). Both in same gear. Both had no passengers. He actually had a gearing advantage with 3.73's.He has owned his car far longer. Neither of us missed a gear. We raced twice. I won by 1-2 cars both times.

I honestly think my car is just plain faster in this type of race.

You can find the thread on ls1tech. He replied in regards to it etc etc...not sure what to say...I was surprised as well.

In truth there are probably a couple v6 Camaros on this site that are more then likely quicker in the 1/4, and a few that could probably take him in the twisties. I don't think we've ever seen him post a slip.

In any case, I'd recommend no further feeding of the troll. For that's all he is, at least to the v6 crowd.

And with that, I'm done with this thread, and mikeSS, he's honestly not worth any more of my time, or effort.
Agreed...

Both sides are guilty of this though.

I can tell you this....guy I work with has an 03' Cobra....minor mods, nothing too wild. He knows how to drive, it's an M6 and he's been running steady 12.7-12.8s trapping around 110-112 on street tires, not drag radials. He was 60' about 2.0.

I was at the strip the same day with him and couldn't launch to save my soul...2.5 60' with wheel hop galore. I was trapping 116 all day long though...while running 13.1...once again, what should win and what does win are 2 different things.

Stock for stock, with good drivers it's going to be close....but the Cobra should nose out a stock SS. But we all know anything can happen....

I don't see anything odd about this. You're making more HP and TQE to the wheels than he is and your car only weighs about 175 lbs more. With the LS3 and your mods, you should be gaining good on the big end unlike the Cobra. Your higher 60' times explain the difference in ET's and your set up explains your higher trap speeds. I'm not trying to argue with you man, just not anything odd about that IMO...

This might give you an idea of what to expect:

This race was done on a closed race track, both drivers are professionals

wow 116mph is a good trap for your mods.according to the fast list the average trap speed for an ls3 car with boltons should be 112.7mph

Tha was a pretty good race considering the fact the mustang had the equivalent of one more passenger than the camaro (180 extra lbs. Or 440lbs. Vs. 260 lbs) had the traction control on AND the camaro had modified exhaust!

Of all the ass ends on 2010+ Mustangs, the pic above is the only pic I've seen look good. I think the Shelby combo with black paint and the huge meats gets it done.

Regular 5.0, no. This one, yes.
