yes. new color and small options. oh and a 444hp version. figure if its rated at 444hp it makes ~1 percent more. 450 even i bet. then there's the red key.

building 2012's start in feb i think. the BOSS should start hitting the streets around then.

i think its performance is on par with the 392, i know a GT wont hang with it if the numbers are true.

lets face it guys, we are all left behind in the space of 9 months. the street will be rules by all motor 392's and BOSS variants. at least until chevy does something. maybe chevy will re-rate the LS3 in the camaro to 445hp, or 471, whichever will put it at the top on paper.

thats kinda exagerated. ive only seen 5.0 GTs and no 2010+ GT500's on the street thus far. Its not like 392's and Boss's will be everywhere

althoguh both have gotten away from their purpose as affordable cars. yes i realize a base V8 for both models are in the low 30's which is affordable. but with all the things that most drivers want and command in a car these days a SS or 5.0 is almost or over $40k not really affordable. i remember when i statred driving a loaded GT Mustang was $26k and a Z28 Camaro about $28k and a Cobra SVT was $38k and an SS was $35k! they are really starting to get out of hand as far as pricing is concerned in my opinion.
No the 5.0 isn't almost 40k. From my experience they both cost fully loaded 36k and that's without being a Jackass and overloading them with everything. The Mustang was supposed to be a Affordable car. It wasen't supposed to be too fast from the factory, they were supposed to be built up. That's why Mustang has a bigger aftermarket ( also the 7 year break the Camaro took ). The V8's should cost as much as the V6's!

Like they did with Camaro V6(304-312) to give it 7 up on the Mustang 305 ?

That's what happens when you have 1000 hp at the crank on a stock motor

This posted on evo's facebook:

"Richard Broadway ran a 10.25 @ 137.5MPH in his Evolution Performance, Inc. Built and Tuned 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V Automatic at Cecil County Dragway just hours after picking the car up at our shop! The modifications consist of a Procharger Stage II at 10lbs of Boost, 1 7/8 Longtube Headers with Off-Road X-Pipe, Circle D Torque Converter, and M/T ET Drag Slicks! The video will be posted on Monday!"

I can't be sure, but it sounds like it's still on a stock motor. 138 traps. . . Holy shit.

EDIT: just confirmed it's a completely stock engine.

It seems like most of these mustang build's are put directly on the track vs Supercharged Camaro builds that just end up being dyno queens. There's tons of dyno #'s in the Forced Induction section but not too many time slips from them.

I can't speak for anyone specifically, but it's probably because of the IRS. Most of the blower builds I see on this site maintain a predominantly stock rear suspension setup that would be pretty easily breakable on the strip with the kind of power they're putting down.

haha, no i meant from the supercharged guys but thanks. More data and info is always good. WIth that said, i think theres more to this story. 138mph seems a little TOO fast. i wonder if there was weight reduction done to the car or what other cars were running at the track that day.

Yea 138 is crazy fast. I wish I could trap that.
I don't launch hard though afraid to break anything.. haha.. and they keep threatening to throw me out track when I break 11.5..
