Just go to GM Canada and built one.
You're comparing a sports car to a muscle car. Try legally fitting 4 people in the Vette. Lol
When did I say zo6?

A GT500 msrp is higher than the msrp of a regular 2011 corvette.

Comparing cars with msrp's over 10 large apart is no more intelligent than comparing sports car to muscle car.

Yeah rock on dude. Some random guys friend got raped on a marked up and optioned out car and he got a good deal on a left over 2010, that is totally fair lol....not sure what you are rocking on about but whatever...
I live in Canada and the pricing is very different than what you guys in the USA pay. You can get a new 2011 GT500 for well under $50K in the USA if you shop around. I bought my 2010 GT500 "NEW" not used. His loaded 2SS L99 was stickered at $48,500 plus he had a few dealer installed options and a set of winter tires and rims plus dealer "markup". He paid $54,000 before tax. I paid $55,000 plus tax. Pretty close in price. Window sticker to window sticker was about a $11K difference and then you factor in most Camaro guys up here paid $4-5K over sticker and you can buy a GT500 for $4-5K under sticker (from the right dealer) well....you get my point.
All I can say is it will be nice when the Z28 finally arrives. That way maybe you'll have a factory stock Camaro that we can finally compare to the GT500 without you guys getting your panties in a bunch.
Dont really understand this but ok....

I have never looked at the GT500 as a comparison to the regular camaro. So it has never really bothered me.
Some chevy guys get their panties in a bunch comparing to a car that has an msrp 14k higher than a 2SS. Some ford guys get upset comparing to a corvette with an msrp less than a GT500 because it has two seats etc etc.
Both sides have merit...both are stupid to argue about.

Personally I could care less either way. Ill buy what I want and you can buy what you want

I would buy a corvette over a GT500 if I had the money.

So I just wanted to see what input I can get from you guys that can help me write my paper out. And also when I compare the Camaro to the Mustang I am comparing the (V6 Vs.V6 and the SS VS. GT) The GT 500 I feel should not be compared yet because I feel that it is the best among 3 (V6,GT, and the GT500) and once the Z28 comes out then that can be compared to the GT500 because chevy will have its best among 3 (V6, SS, and Z28) and I know the Z28 will be better. Your input will be very appreciated.
Sorry I missed this thread. You'll find a wealth of information on the Camaro and Mustang in this thread both OE and highly modified. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...dders+shootout

Of course...you're a Chevy guy. Heh Heh.
I've owned Corvettes in the past and I seriously considered getting a low mileage 2006/07 Z06. I love the C6 Z06's!!! Best overall performance car you can by for that kind of money. They look great and perform even better. One day I will get one. But after I drove the 2010 GT500, which is far from a perfect car, I just felt it was a better match for me at this time. I couldn't do a base Vette, it's also a great sports car but it just didn't have the muscle car feel I was looking for. If I had the space and money there would definitely be a C6 Z06 parked in my garage.
The only thing I don't like about driving a Vette is how you automatically tighten your sphincter every time you hit a bump or dip in the road. Lol
Just ask a Vette owner that lives in an area that has rough roads, they know what I'm talking about.

Could I ask why you would choose a Camaro SS over a used C6 Vette?

I would have agreed with you after driving a Z51 Vette....

Then I had a chance to try one equipped with the F55 Magnetic Selection Ride Control....oouuuggghhhhh.....

Buy a Honda Ridgeline instead....

Hands down, the greatest thing on wheels. Ever.

There's no other truck that matches the power, style, and class that Ridgeline provides. And if that wasn't enough...It also lines ridge!

Did you know the ridge has so much power , that if you put it in reverse and floor it ,you will go back in time ?

Perhaps the Ridgeline's AWD which is named VTM-4
Stands for
Virtual
Time
Machine

At the time I was looking I could find a 2008 LS3 vette for about 35k.

I got my 1SS for 33k OTD. So a few thousand difference.

Lower ineterest rate on a new car. I would be paying a lot of money for a car that is used and that didnt feel good either.

I really like the styling of the new camaro. Vettes have a retirement age man stigma to them. I have always been a camaro fan...etc etc etc

A friend of mine used to have a 2005 with the Z51 pkg and that car was a pretty brutal ride. The only time he liked the ride was when he would have a female passenger with a good rack...bouncy, bouncy. Lol
The next Vette I test drive will be a 2011/12 GS with the magnetic ride control. I've heard many good things about that option and I like the GS package with the 6spd manual transmission.
