I can actually believe this because if I ran into you or another random SS driver or even a nice V6 Camaro or Mustang driver I would go check it out as well. But to say it like he does I'm over here picturing the "charge of the 300" running towards his car like it was some sort of 1 of custom.. Anyways I might be out of line but I've seen him post things like that on other threads and actually seen SS members from this very site telling him to quit.. I just think he's posting alot of sometimes just for the sake of posting... And unless he lives in some backwoods town where maybe a V6 Camaro is REALLY that rare, then I apologize...

charge of 300 - ha - reminds me - "give them nothing, but take from them - everything!".

Silly Mustang....trees are for squirrels! This was at Fort Bragg, NC today (10 JAN 11). I know none of us or any sports car owner for that matter wants to end up like this!

One salesman even asked if he could sit in it. Being the nice guy that I am, I let him.
Was this the same day you had kids cheering and yelling camaro when you walked out of a quiznos?

Then why have multiple stock m6 and a6 5.0's gone faster in ET and trap than any stock m6 or a6 SS? His post was perfectly accurate. In a perfectly equal scenario, the mustang will win, but it's so close that it's always going to be a driver's race. It seems you have a hard time accepting there is anything faster out there. The wrx thread makes that very clear.

I was referring to this thread

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=47995&page=4

Still don't get the point? He refuses to believe any truths that may not hold his camaro on the top and this is far from the first time. Unless you think a 13.5@102 is slower than a 14.5@99 as well

Fact is, the 5.0 mustang holds a slight advantage over the ls3 in the 1/4 mile and the statement, "in a perfect world. . ." that he argued against illustrates that very well. Your buddy with the lambo doors doesn't seem to think so. He could probably beat one in his v6. . .

So now you are trying to tell me that you have now made a conclusion on the performance of the camaro and challenger R/T as a whole after one track session and only this given groups track experience?

Im asking you again.

Is this some kind of a joke?

man, dont get so mad. the SS and 2011 is even.

i dont know why these guys go to the track with stock tires. its rediculous. i still dont plan to run mine, but i am shopping some used 16 inch rims and 10.5 in slicks to go on them. im gonna be ready if i ever do go or get called out. its as much bad tires, as anything else. who the hell cares if it runs good times on stock tires. i NEVER race stock rubber. hell id wreck the car. when the boost comes on and it shifts it will just freaken wreck.

i will say this, when i DO run it, ill have it setup. there wont be any hop or other bullcrap.

im not calling out your dyno guy or anything, but what if you did another dyno pull or two on a dynojet this winter?

Dude....did you even read the posts etc?

I wasnt even talking about the 5.0 or anything like that. I was responding to something else completely. I hardly even post on those kind of subjects anymore etc. The whole topic is rather old IMO.

And no..the SS and 5.0 are not even. The 5.0 is faster. I could give a crap less anymore. I have all but given up trying to convince anyone of anything.

I agree on having the car set-up. Check out my sig...I have been doing some suspension mods and have some DR's on the way. I plan on going to the track in April or May

I would like to do another dyno pull definitely. I was dynoed on a mustang dyno in July and also my car only had 700 kmiles on it. If you want to come and pay for it be my guest The car is in storage now being we have about 6 inches of snow.
The car made between 428 rwhp and 435 rwhp in 5 consecutive pulls once the tuning was finished.

I have seen plenty of other people at 43x rwhp with bolt ons. What is so special about mine?

I also have the 2 inch headers which show a 5whp peak gain over the 1 7/8. I also have an under-drive crank pulley that is good for another 5 rwhp. I am also running an ORX which is good for 1-2 hp lol.
I could just as easily be at 420-425 depending on several variables etc.

Not sure what the big deal is about my numbers?

^ Yeah I don't get it also. My very first mod was a set of drag radials I didn't even have my plates or window tint yet. I'm not the only one as almost every 2011 GT owner I know has drag radials but not too many SS member's I see here have them, even most of the supercharged guy's don't have them.

There is plenty of enough power in these car's to and your biggest and cheapest mod is traction. Most stock GT500's pick up over a full second in there ET with a simple DR swap and leave the $80k 750hp Supersnakes in the rear view at the track. Why spend money to make more hp when your factory tires cant even hook up factory power. All that money will literally go up in a cloud of smoke when ever you try to put that power down.

Part of the reason so many Camaros on are on stock tires is there's only 1 tire company making 20" drag radials at the moment. Add into the fact that everyone and their brothers is looking for them adds up to national backorder.

Hopefully other companies step up and make them....

Second problem is clearing the rear brake set up requires a large wheel....Mustang guys have it with being able to slap some smaller wheels and larger sidewall slicks on....it's not as simple as it seems for the Camaro crowd!

18" C6z's seem simple enough or C5z's with a Mr. Gasket spacer or if you want to get your hand's dirty send off your 20's to Weldcraft to be widened enough for the NTO5r's. CCW's will also work if you want something nice or just want to change your rims anyway.

Has anybody tried to see if the 17" Racestar's will clear the rear brakes like the 17" Bogart's?

Aren't the 20" wheels optional on the SS though?.. Just wondering not trying to start any crap..
