fix @#$% bumper
so i was installing my night rider bar using the diy found here. Spent 1.5 hrs taping and covering any sensitive areas that might get bumped by the dremel. What a waste of time that was. got the holes cut, removed all the crap i put on only to see a huge chunk missing from the top of the mail slot and scratches all over the damn place.
  :mad0260 : I am sooooo pissed... guess its a good excuse to get the T2 bumper..... anyway... anyone know how to fix this so that it doesnt look like shit?

I edited the picture to highlight the scarring a little better. Sorry its so crappy. Only have a camera phone. The g/f is a photographer and she has the camera at school with her. Anyway, if you need a better image take a dremel and gouge the top left corner of your mailslot.
Need the mail slot for light bar. Is there a plastic putty or something I can get to cover the gouge til I can get a new bumper? Just checked pricing on T2... not ready to spend 1k for 1 item just yet. The big cut on the left is the hole for the light... fits and looks great with the bar in... still needs cleaned up though |

hahaha I said I only had my camera phone, cmon guys haha
anyway, the cut is 1/2" by 1/4" on the upper left corner of the mail slot. The part that would be very bumpable while cutting two holes inside the slot for the light to slide through. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95004 His booboo is in the same spot only mine looks to be wider, deeper, and whiter... if it was just a little ding like that I could put a couple layers of paint and some clear coat and it should look the same, but this baby is deeeep. |
