I am sure there are other good tuners that sponsor this site as well and everyone has to choose who they feel comfortable with.
Not sure how you feel $5,000 isn't worth the money when I can forge it for $3875 for you ? Thats like $4225 with crate and freight. 5000-4225= 775 towards labor.

Is any tuner willing to do that? Are they willing to guaranty the bottom end if you follow their parameters? If so then ok, they are giving you the same as Edelbrock does. I think Edelbrock is taking a big risk by offering the warranty but they must have built the tune accordingly. Is it supposed to rev limit at 4500 rpms? I don't know what the parameters of it are, I haven't seen it broken down. I do know this though, and I have dealt with a lot and I mean a lot of tuners, they all think they know best and more than the other guy. Some of them respect the other guys work, most do not and I have never seen one admit fault.

I agree there are risk with everything we do to modifying cars and no tuner is going to guarantee that nothing will happen as you know you have to pay to play. Some folks may like the warranty, but for me it's not worth it and I have worked in a industry for 22 years in which I have seen several aftermarket vendor warranties not pan out the way someone thinks they will. I truly believe in Edelbrocks products or I would not have purchased one. I for one will be looking into beefing up my internals in the near future to make sure that my motor will be as bullet proof as I can get it... Then again there are no promises from anyone that nothing will happen to it once I do it.

Before this turns into a vendor showdown, I'm coming in here with a chair and a big bag of popcorn.

Every tuner is in business to build cars and make money. Let's talk more about the cars and what makes them great. I think we have a great vendor membership here, and I want to see all of them build badass Camaros for the rest of us. When we're comparing them, let's stick to what makes them great an agree to disagree on some of the negatives. It is neither polite nor professional to drag down the other guy, and it doesn't guarantee anyone gets the business or even wins the argument.

I'll just be over here in the corner. Don't mind the crunching popcorn.

Too Lean an AFR which raises combustion temps to the point of melting plugs.

Or Too much Timing which also Raises combustion temps to the point of melting plugs.

Which 4 spark plugs?

Who's Tune are you running?

What fuel was in the tank at the time of this?

What Boost are you trying to run or running?

Any Other Mods to the Car?

We can and will Help you.

Yes sir! the plugs def melted from being lean!!! bet those headers/manifolds were glowing!! LOL...

My post was not to put down the Edelbrock SC but to make people see that when your making more power with this or any other SC that the internals will give. I was getting ready to do the internals when I lost my two piston it sounded like the lifters was bad and I really do like this SC. Sorry if people had taken it the wrong way.

I know this is a repeat of what others have said, but I will agree with Ted....too lean or too much timing. We have run 10-11psi, and have made 650+rwhp with these things and have yet to break a motor.

Every single tune that has come with any blower we have installed has had WAY too much timing, fueling has been too lean, etc. This comes from companies using low quality tools, non-loaded dyno's and not street testing their kits

I guess it is now time to take advantage of the Edelbrock engine warranty if your kit was 100% how it shipped from Edelbrock

Glowing manifolds when? This is not the sign of a lean mixture. It's either caused by rich mixtures (excess fuel in the exhaust), spark retard which drives exhaust temperatures up, low spark intensity (incomplete fuel burn), or long camshaft overlap periods
