Why do these threads always turn into modding and the drag strip.

You know people not everyone buys these cars to race them. In fact there are far more that don't.

I was impressed for sure.
I don't expect this engine to live forever, especially with what we are doing to it. However at 8-10psi I think a street car would live several years. I know roush and frpp did durability cycles on the engine dyno at 7psi with a very conservative tune so they could offer a warranty.

The 5.4 looses out a lot due to its 8.5CR vs the 5.0s 11CR, that is easily 100rwhp. However the 5.4 would have to run race gas all day long and 10* of timing to tolerate that kind of CR in boost.

I can upgrade as funds are there and I am driving a new vehicle with 500 miles on it. But the answer is yes I would prefer a turnkey racecar from the factory with a full warranty.

v6 Camaro vs 2000 mustang gt

Who would win? The Mustang has Flow-Masters, K&n intake and supposedly a chip. The Camaro just has an Injen CAI

Guesstimating here

284 hp/313 lb-ft 3200 lbs. (265/305 stock)
vs
319 hp/279 3750 lbs. (312/278 stock)

Mustang would probably win because of the much wider and stronger V8 powerband/torque and it's lighter weight. Unless it's a 4AT and you are a 6MT, then you would win....

Our cars are brand new and making all 312 HP. Youre out of your mind if you think most 2000 GTs are still making all their ponies.

Any car will be down on power after 11 years unless it was perfectly maintained. Common knowledge here...
