To me, at this instance, no news is STILL good news. I put a word of anxiety in my wife's ear, and when I just told her that no new information, she was inclined to say that "they are still making the car, so don't sweat the small stuff". No new update for us today small, seeing our masterpiece in its splendor MEGA. I have my two posters, and this site for my relief.

To good times ahead

Well said. My fiancee was quite amused how much we were freaking out, checking in every so often. Things got a little bitter there, and I'm sure in the real world we would have formed a mob, but I'm glad cooler heads prevailed and we all calmed down. Well at least the powers that be now know our passion. As if there was ever any doubt of that.

I think I'll send off an email and see what happens. Technically, the site says,

Quote:
"Sign up to get on the list for periodic updates. And if you need to be the first to know, check back here the first Thursday of every month for the latest updates."

With information like that posted on a GM website for MILLIONS to read, I've highly suprised that nothing was posted yesterday. I'm not mad. There's no reason to be. I don't know who dropped the ball this time, but....reading the details from the site about the first Thursday of every month...new info under the Camaro Word section....and the fact that nothing was there....leads me to believe someone dropped the ball.

It's no big deal though, guys. We WILL get more info as time goes on. I'm sure someone will update that page soon.

Ok guys and gals...

This is straight from John Fitzpatrich himself....

Doug:

We were off by a week... The next content update is next Thursday, November 8, and all subsequent updates will occur on the second Thursday of the month...

Sorry about the confusion...

I never saw said Transformers battle page, but I would definitely not knock GM's web guys. Just take a look at Chevy Nation! Ignore the slow load times (they're actually not that bad, considering), and take a look at the amazing 3D graphics and animation. Look at all the attention to detail with the cars driving around the city. They could have put all the same information in a basic HTML site, but they went above and beyond to make it look more attractive and entertaining to you and me.

I know Web Designers and Webmasters are two different things, but managing a website of any quality for the amount of traffic that GM gets is a lot more work than it would seem.

I'm not sure WHY there isn't anything up -- checking into it.

That said -- you will recall that I posted it -- and very shortly thereafter the cammo. picture of Ed W. hugging a mule suddenly hit the 'net.

We didn't know Mr. Lutz was gonna let that one fly -- and it was our intent to post one or two pics of a cammo. mule.

There will still be more info. out there -- but that was the big splash.....

.........ahhhhhhhhhhh......the best laid plans.........................

That makes sense. They had to scramble and try to figure out what else to put up there. Of course, we could always use a higher-res picture of the camo Camaro.
