It also has its own specifically cast block and heads made from a special Boss only alloy. Not to mention the custom CNC ported heads which take 2.5 hours each to port, and other parts like Torsen limited-slip differential to keep the inside tire from smoking on corner exits. Its the TOTAL package and all for about the same price as a loaded GT.

Why the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 isn’t just a sticker and wheel package

I love the BOSS. All that N/A motor goodness and handling to match. It`s a rocket.

I think they are standard, the wheel color will always match the stripes... There is a Laguna Seca on Ebay for $108,000 dollars right now. There are others that are in the $50-60k range. Soooo happy I didn't wait... The SCCA guys are happy, but they are using them the way they are suppose to be used... There are Laguna's bidded on for $60,000.. SCCA people want these really bad, the Boss's enter their class with zero point penalty. This is basically a free championship season to who ever buys them... Another reason Ford didn't reduce the weight too much, it would have put them in the sports car class. The SCCA see this car as "heavier" than the GT at 3620lbs, it receives "no factory penalty" so this is a weapon to win SCCA and NASA championships. I didn't realize this until now... You win a championship, you get sponsors... you get money.. A factory racecar below $80,000 dollars.. unbelievable....

If you want to run in the Z06 class you would have to accumulate over 16+ points in modifications...

front plate

So did he gut the cats on his stock H pipe like I did or did he get a catless X pipe since you cant have both? I am aware that this is all second hand info since its your sons. My gutted H pipe w/ stock GT500 mufflers sounds KILLER and not raspy like a catless X pipe. A lot of 5.0L guys are gutting their cats or getting Lethal's off road H pipe and 2011 GT500 mufflers to give it that american muscle sound.

All else equal mustang has torque advantage smaller rims higher gears. It is like the 60' vw bug would pull almost any car for first 3 feet due to torque.

He ordered his gutted cats from somewhere and returned his as a core. He also said something about an H pipe (My bad, didnt mean an X pipe). I know with him just adding those two mods on top of his tune and intake he went from my rear bumper to dead even with me on runs to 150!!
His car is LOUD!! But it sounds really good...

This is the site I bought my drill-less front plate mount from. It is an awesome design. I have taken the car over 140mph on the Autobahn and through a autowash and it never budges. http://www.ccmustangbrackets.com/
Order one, I believe they will fit on the Camaro's too.

[QUOTE=8cd03gro;3053710]No, the 2005 model year was the first year of the c6 and the ls7 in the z06. The c5 z06 with the ls6 was made from 2001-2004. . .

Actually, the first year for the C6Z was 2006, there was no 2005 Z06.
