An interesting bit of info: I saw zero difference at the strip when I tried premium. It ran better, but, did not change my runs at all.

Why spend an extra 20-50 cents a gallon if you don't need to?

I use mid or 91, even though it doesn't make a difference. The only thing I do consciously look for is for a station that uses Top Tier as stated in the manual. Top Tier is produced by these companies; http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html.

Ummm, what?

Every LS is a V6...

And, 91-93 since day one... every once in awhile I add an octane booster for cleanup, as the "top tier" sellers are not in this area. (Car runs really smooth, and no issues)

Pretty sure high octane gas is a rip off for the V6. 87 octane is just fine.
High octane gas doesn't burn any cleaner, it just takes longer to fully combust, so it's delivering power for longer during the piston's downward stroke. But you'll only see a difference in vehicles who's performance outpaces out V6's.

I've been sticking with 93 octane in mine. It runs better. You can put the lower octane in and it won't hurt anything, but it really does run better on the higher octane fuel.
