I love the red and blue stitching. Good stuff, can't wait to see one.

How is the new crystal red different than RJT? I really like my RJT 2LT
Once you get a car equipped with Push button start you will wish It came with all the cars you buy. I love my push button start. Its so simple and i don't have to worry about locking my car with my keys inside as it doesn't lock if you do. It beeps to warn you that the keys inside. Also if you leave your key in the trunk my car pops the trunk back open so you can get it. I wish they offer it too.

The year: 1979.

Double digit inflation......

Double digit INTEREST rates......

Fuel prices thru the ceiling........

Double digit unemployment.........

.........and we delivered over 282,000 Camaros (and that doesn't include Firebirds.....) -- AND - -the 2nd gen was now 10 years old!

Gas prices do not always impact cars like Camaro and Corvette.......
I have finally read through all of the comments in this thread and have only one thing to say....How can you possibly pass judgement on a car that you have not seen in person? I just got back from C5IIFest and have personally seen the 45th anniversary edtion and can tell you it is incredible!!!

My wife and I were so impressed with this 45th edition that we are sitting around trying to decide what version we want to order for her.

You really need to see one of these beauties in person to trully appreciate what they (GM) have done for this 45th edition. I believe that once you have seen this in person you will have a whole new appreciation for this 45th edition Camaro. Give it a chance!!!

The basic model price was $2,368. Within a year, Ford had sold 417,000 models, most of which were hardtops.

I have been playing with my toys for over thirty five years, I am a Master Mechanic, Fabricator, and Welder....but i have yet to own a mustang...
I was in two Mustang's in my entire life, once at the NY World's fair in 1964 on some exhibit ride with Dinosaurs and in high school I had to bum a ride home....other than that...they have never done anything for me. If they stopped making cars tomorrow and told me a Mustang was the only ride I could buy, I would walk until I could find a Camaro. I am like you and have done the same skilled work....I was bummed when they stopped making Camaro's. I bought a little rocket ship called an 02 35th Anniversary SS new off the lot. It was in the third week of September, 2001. 911. What bad times we all went through then. I have driven it sparingly, garage kept it. It's like a shrine to the F body for us. That's all we ever played with our whole lives. I was sad, mad, dissapointed, all that when the line ended...but deep down knew it would come back, ...someday. Camaro did return, and how!!! Be thankful to the gap, look at what it gave GM a chance to provide. The Camaro is light years ahead of Ford's archaic body. Chevy Camaro, let the good times roll!

The Good...
I dig the new color and badges
Glad they upgraded the HP on the V6
The upgraded suspension is the only solid part of the 2012...

The Bad...
1st its a V6
2nd the wheels are average at best
3rd the stearing wheel isnt that nice either

The Ugly...
The hood stripe is gross!

I really dont know why all the hate on the stripe, I like it. Maybe I am just weird that way LOL. Got to see it in person and I planned on getting a 2012 keeping the CGM color like I have now. However after seeing that Carbon in person - wow. Now I just may have to get the 45th anv. Was trying to hold out for the ZL1 but not sure I want to spend that much and deal with all new design bugs again.

Honestly I think overall the new Camaro's are a improvement of an already amazing car! The steering wheel is funny shaped, but it addressed the complaint people had on the 2010 wheel, which was that the controls were to far into the center, you had to reach for them... not they are more level and still complaints. I will say this though. One thing I hate about the Challenger is that the interior looks just like the interior on the Magnum/Charger/300C... bad idea, that car and this car should be set apart. Nothing carried over from other designs. For example of how GM is doing this, they took design que's from the Camaro to design the new Malibu... the tail lights, and the steering wheel to mention a few. IMHO that is a bad idea, makes the Camaro which is a enthusiast car a muscle car look like a family sedan inspired car...
I really like the look of the new Malibu and the other new GM cars, but the Vette and the Camaro should be set aside when it comes to design, not integrated into the who Chevrolet "Theme" for the year.

Where have we seen this? (on most new GM's)

I think it looks good too! All the new GM's are looking really good. But I want them to have their own designs, not shared between every make LOL.
