Makes sense. Have confidence in your camaro though and treat it like a woman: Treat her good, give her what she wants and she'll never let you down. Mistreat her and......you get the picture

I do understand, but I've also heard many horror stories about cars randomly having bolts fly out and stuff like that.

haha......i was one of those. A driveshaft bolt coming off was the culprit. I assume if must have come loose during one of the times my car wheelhopped . These cars are notorious for wheelhop (in case you havent yet experienced it for yourself). My dealer was quick to repair it

I definitely feel your reasoning makes a lot of sense, and there is lots of evidence to prove you are correct. I appreciate you taking the time. I, unfortunately, do not have great luck with cars for whatever reason, and I feel that I do a great job in taking care of them. For example, my '02 SS needed to get the gear kit replaced...twice! The day after I purchased my 2011 SS, 3 weeks ago, I saw a hose hanging from the bottom of the car. Hence, my car was sitting at the dealer less than 24 hours after I bought it so they can clamp that hose to the car again. Now, I need to take it in tomorrow because last time they found that the fuel line connector needed to be changed, and ordered the part. Again, I purchased my vehicle 3 weeks ago. Might I add...it was a dealer order, so no one else had driven it...I saw it get delivered. My point to all of this is...your points are very valid, but there are exceptions unfortunately, and I think by matter of chance things will happen. Life is nothing but experiences, and my experiences have led me to not want to take certain risks with vehicles. As a result, if I want to get LT headers, and they need a tune to function properly, and the tune voids my hedging of these risks (warrany), it's best that I don't get headers. :( I thank you all though for your great input and feedback. It's a bummer, but I'll dress up my Blue Balls (She IBM, and has balls!) with other stuff. |

I agree, you should never refinance to extend the term, but sometimes it does make sense and can save you money, especially if you have made additional, principal only payments throughout the life of the loan. |

I put BFE LT and high flow cats X-pipe into stock exhaust resonators with no tune picked up 25 HP and 23 FT Lbs TRQ at rear wheels and so far no codes have the M-6 so don't know if that makes any difference.

no codes eh? hmm. did you put O2 extensions or whatever it is I've heard of? Perhaps its the placement of the cats. I've thought to myself several times why nobody has thought of trying to design a LT header that does not throw a code, I'd imagine that they'd make a killing for those that want performance+sound but don't want to void their warranty with a tune.

Basically, making a header that doesn't throw the sensor completely defeats the purpose of headers....?? Again, I could be wrong..

you dont HAVE TO get the ECM tuned after intalling headers, but if you want to get the most efficiency and performance out of them, you should. You might or might not get the check engine light without a tune, but you would definitely pick up more than 25 ponies and ft/lbs to the rear wheels with a tune.
