how do I find if if a certain shopping center has them before I go there?

Can you call your boss to see if there is someplace in your store where you could store your bicycle? You could also call the management offices of the mall (look in the Yellow Pages and ask them if there are bike racks where you could keep your bike while you are at work. They should know what facilities are available at the mall.

I've never seen a roof rack for a Camaro.

and to the rest of you who think this car is some sort of Lamborghini and should be handled with white wool gloves I hope this twists your nipples.

Thanks to the spammer for reviving this thread However, I too am interested! I might even be committing the ultimate taboo! A hitch AND a roof rack! Because, I already have a hitch bike rack, and because I do have occasions to haul both bikes and surfboards at once. One of the things I loved about this car was the long flat roof that would be perfect for strapping surfboards to the top!

As mentioned, people put bike racks and such on much more exotic and expensive cars, I just don't see the big deal. Remember, roof racks are removable and only need to be on the car when using them.

No roof rack, too risky, but there are trunk mount ones that work just fine and are temporary. Or, if you get a trailer hitch there are some that connect to that. Either way do which one you like.

Why do people think roof racks are permanent? Roof racks are just as temporary as any other type of rack, I think the confusion is that some vehicles come with permanent roof racks, or that a true non-universal roof rack uses metal latches to secure itself, thus looking permanent even though it isn't.

If you don't beleive me, go to either Thule or Yakima (I forget which one I did) and build a roof rack for the camaro.

I put my bike in the trunk, after taking both wheels off.

It's not because I think racks are ugly, it's because I want to keep my bike clean.

I am lucky because my tri bike actually fits in my trunk with the front wheel off. it litterally fits with maybe a few millimeters clearance. you might be able to remove both wheels on a mountain bike and get it in the trunk

I just bought a Silverado to haul my Triathlon bikes in. Can't see hooking them up on the Camaro.... Doesn't seem like the right thing to do...

Trailer Hich on my 2010 Camaro 2SS

I installed a trailer hitch made by Curt Manufacturing on my 2010 Camaro 2SS. The installation instructions left out some important details like the fact that you have to separate the hangers for the muffler & that there is some interference between the hitch & muffler but I took care of that.

Here is the one I just installed. I like it because none of the cross bar is visible.
