Still, though, would have been nice to see the hub redesigned to be more unique.

Now, there is something I can agree with. I would have liked to see something as simple as the name "Camaro" in the center...like this:

Name: CAMARO Steering wheel.jpg

I understand there were time-constraints, though...any meddling with the airbag cover would require a revalidation and that takes time, not to mention adds a stupid amount of $$$...

Maybe next year...

That would have been perfect! Either that or the 3 stripe camaro logo like others have mentioned.

I like the new wheel personally. I wonder is much involved to switch a 2012 wheel onto a 2010?

That is much nicer. It even almost looks like it's got the little camaro stripes at the bottom.

Though my favourite steering wheels are the citroen steering wheels with the stationary hub/airbag.

Shouldn't be too difficult, I'd think...both offer the same controls and features...they're just shaped radically different.

Thanks!

Kinda off-topic...I'm thrilled how they've integrated the Camaro logo into the 45th badging...it looks so sleek and cool.

Oh....don't think they haven't seen it among dozens of other renditions...they're not as helpless as it would appear...

Here is one of the fixed hub steering wheels I mentioned. Every so often as a terrible song comes on whilst I'm making a big turn with both hands on the wheel, I begin to long for one of these.

(Fixed / floating hub. The wheel rotates and the centre remains stationary. "In terms of safety, the fixed-centre design of the steering wheel makes it possible to install a shape-optimised driver airbag for improved driver protection.")

Though, obviously, I'd like it more if it were styled to look more like the 10/11 steering wheel. :p

I don't mind the new wheel. The only thing I don't like is the bowtie in the middle instead of the Camaro nameplate.

I think it's nifty, anyway.

I will look into confirming the part number tomorrow. The other part number is 20940485 which I again believe to be the airbag itself. Like I said I am unsure as to the exact nature of the part but will be working to confirm both tomorrow. I hope this helps.

Ah no, both numbers are for airbags. Driver & passenger I believe.
