I can't pick, stay stock or go 370 or 391 gears, I can always keep it stock and cange later. What do you think. I keep oging back and forth.

However - when I do pick up a V - it will be going to LPE for their upgrades. You guys and gals have always been good to talk to and hang out with and I hope we can all stay in touch. I have put an add up in the "for sale" page just to see if anyone on the site would be interested. We will see how things go and hopefully my car can go to a good home

Awwwww!:( Can't you just keep the LPE and get a corolla? Just kidding. We are happy for you and your wife and the new additions to your family coming... the CTS-V and baby. Please stay in touch and keep us updated.

I'm probably the one to answer this question since I have had all three gears, stock, 3.70, 3.90. First of all DON'T STAY STOCK! Both of the other gears are way more fun! To me it really depends how you most often drive your car and what you want.

3.70 Gear:
1) Better for in town driving, or stuck in tracffic (stop and go) situations.
2) Very good on the road course.
3) Very good on the drag strip.
4) Highway driving, is way better than stock, but to me 6th is still pretty
unusable. You have to be over 80, or you're bogging.
5)This gear feels like the gear that should come with the car. Shift
points feel VERY natural.

3.90 Gear
1) Not so good for in stuck traffic. If you drive in town a lot, you are
definitely shifting a lot more.
2)Excellent on the road course!!!!!!
3)Very good on the drag strip, but still trying to dial in the traction, and
that 1-2 shift comes VERY fast!
4)Highway driving is AWESOME! 75 and above is fine for 6th, and I
averaged 27-30 mpg to/from C5 fest.
5)This gear also feels great. Maybe not as "natural" but super awesome
in peppiness!!!!

If I were choosing all over again, since I seem to like the road course the most, and this is not my daily driver, I would pick the 3.90. However, if I drove my car around town more, I would probably go 3.70. One thing I notice the most, is that the 3.90 really feels like its lunging forward when you let out the clutch compared to the 3.70. Hope this helps. Can't wait to see how your car turns out!!!

I'm familiar with the 3.73's and 4.10's, who's making 3.70's and 3.90's, are they better / stronger than 3.73 / 4.10?

I really want to keep the Camaro but I fell in love with the V when I drove it and the 4 doors will work out as a great work car also. Now I just have to decide what LPE package to go with...hmmm. I actually bought one yesterday, a local dealership just got a 2010 in with 8K miles. I haven't picked it up yet, as I have been out of town for work, but I will be looking forward to picking it up on Monday!!

Thanks 2010, what great input, Ok 370 or 391. Kevin said he would go with the 391. I have a few more days before I let them know.

Well, since there's no traffic in Safford and only one stoplight, I would go with the 3.90's

Plus I want to drive it to see how it feels

Hey Guys,
The car is running great! I havent had much time to really play with it.
I am here in Kemah, it seems like there is a cop every block. It is also a little loud now so its hard to hide.
Kids are having a ball out here between the boardwalk and beach.
Good part is the car is good to go!

Hi Mike
Those are some awesome numbers!! Is the s/c louder or the motor or both? Did you change the pulley size?
