No problem, feel free to "Steal with Pride", I ride a Harley too, and its the same deal... And since I've been out in the DFW area and been hanging out with FloMoCamaro and Camaro21, it's even more true than ever.

just because the header bolts are tight, doesnt mean you cant have a leak.

that being said... your ticking is your lifters. As I said before, its a common issue with L99s.

and as I have said before as well,

you shoulda done a heads/cam/nitrous setup.... just sayin...

so.... when are you going to bring the car over here? you should come out for the 4th of July... or sometime this weekend, my parents will be in town too so we'll have an extra set of hands.

seriously...

Been through this with GTAHVIT on the phone.

I told him that I felt like I took a 'ManCard Hit' by not completing the deal ultimately.

He told me he was going to just tell me what his Father-In-Law would tell him in the same situation because of feeling like that.

"WHO THE FU** DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? So all of a sudden you are an expert? Mr. certified mechanic guy. What the hell makes you think that you can just jump in and do it as well as the pros. How bout a little respect to them?"

the fact that you have already gone this far with your car makes you think that you can do it just as well as the pros. not dogging the pro shops around the world, but sometimes its better to just say that you did it yourself

Fair enough. I was laughing too hard to really comment back. he had a good point. And my effort was not in vain. It's a tiny small thing on a used blower install. May even be unrelated to the install. (I suspect it is now)

BUT, I did have the car running great. Fast and strong so I had already 'Won' so to speak. And so I was not expecting to have to spend the money. You gotta pay to play. I understood that the whole time. And still do. I just had thought I got away with one. But I guess I didn't. I knew if the lifters were gonna go out I'd not be covered under the TSB. But so be it. I'll be the fastest Camaro in Mobile, AL
there's paying to play... then there's you Randy.

Come on down. This place SUCKS for performance shops. So you'd easily be 'The Man' down here.

But we only have an 1/8th mile track. So kinda sucks.
Last I remember Mobile was LESS than an 1/8th mile with a freaking canyon to drive into if your brakes or chute failed!!!! So all is good now I take it? PM me if you want to test one of the billet Gatorgrip anti-slip pulleys in any size you want.....

I'm pretty jazzed. I guess I may never know what the original issue was. But that and my oil pan leak will be gone in the doing of the cam by default I think.

well, that depends on if you go thru with the cam swap in addition to fixing the dying problem...lol

True. If it's electrical then it will have to be found. I guess I was still assuming an air leak possibility. Depending on the cam and not having the stall done I hope I still don't have a dying problem.

You know what I think it is. Make sure you pass it along to the peeps at Vengeance to investigate.

as for the cam, I doubt you'll have any dying issues. if anything, you'll have surging issues where the car is trying to lurch forward while you're holding the brakes.... till you get a 3600 stall that is. then swap those badonkadonk wheels out and really have some fun

No doubt.

Like I said, I will NEVER get to hear my car with a smooth idle.

I can live with some surging and lunging. Hell, I've lived with it this far. LMAO
