With Dad my travel have been curtailed. He is doing better, but he has a long road in front of him. Post some pics. I'll live vicariously.

There were 5 cars in the Street Mod class..
I raced with a FWD turbo'd VW Jetta, and the rest were 4WD subaru's. All of them were modded pretty well.

Those 4WD Subaru's are tough.. they are a great autocross car and unbeatable in capable hands.

So far this season I have 1 first, 1 second, and 1 third place finish.
I am 1st place overall in the SCCA Street Mod class...!

I'm very happy with the car's performance so far this year.
I known I'm a little slow on the response..... but congrats Dan!

The DA was 2554' corrected it would have been a 10.9!
I think me and the car here at this track are good enough for about another 4/10's.
Next friday they are going to run some big cars in 1/8 mi. racing.
I need to see if it is good enough for the top 30 over on the drag results page, and I will post up the slip.
Awesome times Mike! ..... what a machine!

So thinking of upgrading the rear end since owed a CF driveshaft and can still change setup.....

Should I go DSS 9" with Strange case or LPE 9.5"? Anybody know the wieght differences and pros/cons between them? I did see that 3.90 gears aren't available for the LPE 9.5", but sounds like 3.70/3.73 gears might be best choice if upgrading power down the road. Paul has thought 3.45s best, but has an Auto tranny and LPE used 4.10 - but track only car. Both diffs are bolt in with no cutting now supposedly. Not sure how the positraction holds up between the two of them or if one stays cooler and/or holds more fluid. LPE sells 2-piece chrome moly driveshaft and mentions harmonics are better than one piece.... but one piece seems to make better sense.

Well guys I drove about 1000 miles in two days and hit the Big Easy last nite. We are heading to the French Quarter to endulge in some creole cusine. I can tell you peole in LA are about no driving sons of guns! Had a two mile stop and go backup on I10, why? Car broke down on the side of the road, flat tire. Speed limit is 70, but they drive 60?
Oh well as long as they take as much time cooking their food

I think they are both great units, but in the end the LPE won me over. They stand behind their work, and it still has a stock look to it. It is also is qvery quite! I have heard the strange unit, and it is louder than mine. I spoke the the drive shaft shop about the one piece and they did not recommend it for a street car for the same reasons Graham did.
Like Pete said, customer service is very important when we spend our hard earned dollars on mods, and Lingenfelter is top notch!

Cool the driver gets to take the family to work with him!
It is a cool way to see this great country of ours. I am going to take a swamp tour tomorrow (my sons idea) I can only imagine hot hot the swamp is here at noon, I guess I will find out.
