Does gas mileage eventually improve as the engine matures? If so, about when?

Thx
As been mentioned... the 4.5miles and never going over 40 is what kills your MPG.

I'm in a very similar situation with regards to daily driving... but I got the V8... i'm lucky to get over 10MPG. But when you are only driving 6 or 8 miles/day does it really matter what your MPG are?

Take it on a long trip... then you will see a more realistic/accurate MPG as the Sticker claimed.

Have to agree. Although I do check it; like a F-You to all the Hybrid owners... I like to see how Low it will Go.

Well in this economy and looks like forever high gas prices it is nice and financially smart to be able to get "decent" mpg. with the v6 you can do that as it is a daily driver after all, and have fun also. To compare, it gets about the same mpg as our v6 Camry SE which has alot less power and is even lighter as well, so not bad. Now that is as far as I will go however. I will not go to a 4 banger unless that is the only option out there.

What's your version of fun? In my SS when I'm having fun, it's less than 13, depending on how much "fun" I'm having it's down to 10 or less..

I have ALOT of FUN
