Ohhh...believe me if I happen to get the luck to actually catch the person in the act it won't end well for them. Luckily for your's truly I've been well educated doing what I do for a decade in regards to what is and what isn't reasonable force. I hold no delusion though that the chances camera or not of a repeat run-in are slim but like all the shoplifters and thieving employees I've dealt with my entire adult life I know this....somewhere along the line these people have their number come up.

Yes Pete the problem is there is only one way to deal with these people. Best bet is to take the main target out of play and go from there. At least I can afford to get a storage space, its just these next two days that got me worried about a repeat incident. On the bright side I should see my money come back when my detail schedule gets cut in half because this monsoon junk won't be a factor anymore.

I'm very surprised that the paint held up to a soda attack. The idea behind this particular approach is to have the soda discolor and damage the paint. You're lucky this time. Glad to hear you're gonna garage your ride.

My vandals where more sopisticated, they used a large beer botlle instead of soda.

Hit the windshield and did paint chips that requires to repaint half of the top....

I'm glad you don't have to go through all the a$$hole.

Yeah I'm surprised too, I venture if it hadn't rained so much over the night that it would have been dry rather than wet like I found it. The wax on the Camaro is on about 8 weeks old so it looks like it did its job, I guess this is another good reason to maintain a good detail every 3-4 months.

Yeah that sucks. Someone tried that with an egg in January but hit the window instead of the paint. The only damage that happened then was a slight scratch in the front windshield.

Wendy, quiet a bit it would seem these days. I lived in this complex prior to owning my house and never had one issue during the first stint. The only thing that has changed is that instead of driving a 2 year old Mustang GT I have two new cars. I'm surprised given that this is Paradise Valley of all places, you'd think this would happen in Tempe or Mesa and not here. Probably the best bet I realistically have at this point is to use the storage place across the street and hunker down. I need to get my Camaro out the weather anyways after that monster dust storm from the other day....let's not forget I steroided out hail storm might decide to roll in again like last October.

I cannot believe that is happening in PV! The weather has been freaky here over the past year huh? Secure shelter sounds like a good deal. Will you have access 24 hrs a day?

It's getting to the point where you can't own anything nice, because the general public is bombarded with images of a lifestyle and luxury items they think they deserve but refuse to work for.

People become embittered or develop a complete lack of respect for personal property (since it's all disposable anyway, right?), then lash out at someone else to relieve their own sense of insignificance. Either they will steal what they want, because they've been taught that it's okay and that there are no consequences; or, they simply destroy what they can't have out of that lack of respect or bitterness.

Our gimme-what-I-want-and-damn-the-consequences society is starting to show in lean times.

Yep, they use Intelex DVR recording and have someone living on site as well. I'm going over there in about 30 minutes if its is good as it sounds my Camaro will be safe and sound before noon.

Nobody wants to earn a damn thing, especially younger folks which I suspect are behind this. It amazes me how much the values I grew up with disappeared in a single generation.

I hope this new location is what you are looking for and can provide you with peace of mind that your car will be safer. I know I get an uneasy feeling when I end up parking in locations that I would rather not.

It's amazing and disappointing. When I was growing up, I could already see that attitude starting to develop amongst my peers.

As I've become a little older, it strikes me as incredible that young adults barely a decade younger than I am have a completely different value system that is almost entirely self-centered and based on materialism and superficiality. I'm sure living in California amplifies that somewhat.

Young adults (I'm not even talking about teens and tweens) want to do what they please without any regard for how it affects the people around them.

This is the new Camaro house. It comes armed with Intelex, a coded gate and live in property management. Not bad for a 5 minute walk across the street.
