+1

Well said!!!

Sorry about your Camaro...glad you weren't hurt or killed :(

If I see someone driving near me and texting or talking on their cell, I get as far away as possible!!!

Both are illegal here in NY, but it doesn't stop anyone!!!

its illegal here, still see people doing it all day long. Its legal to dial, type on a GPS and everything but text..... so unless they 100% know your texting, they can't pull you over.... pulling over because you think their texting is profiling.... so you can't get a ticket til you kill someone.... nice to know huh?

I had some guy back out of a parking spot in an apartment complex today... texting, never even saw me, came within a few inches of hitting me. I saw him moving back as I was just about to pass him, Laid on the the horn and he never even noticed.... I punched it and got out of the way, nearly took my back bumper off... I don't want to know how close it was .

I've never sent a text, don't allow food or drink in the car (unless it has a cap on a drink, and only if I'm stopped). Too many total idiots on the road to watch out for these days

Tsk tsk let's not jump to conclusions...the driver did not take the pic. Passenger did.

how the h** can you concentrate ,and focus on driving when your mind is on the conversation from the phone call?.i've been driving for 45 years, and i cannot do it, concentrate and focus while talking with someone on the phone! (w.t.f!).give it up,or eventually pay the price!..just sayin'

Ofer that sucks about your car. It is illegal in the Phoenix area, but not the surrounding areas, and are you saying it will be state wide? As that would be great.

Well okay to each his own here sir. I appreciate your concern for safety but I think you're going a bit too far. So much so that it sounds like riding in a car with you might be pretty high stress.

I'll stick with trying not to do things that take my eyes off the road longer than it takes to check my mirrors. Pushing the "connect call" button on my steering wheel when a call comes in isn't one of them. Neither is pushing that big blue Onstar button on the bottom of my mirror to get directions nor is listening to the excellent BA stereo.

Been driving since 82 BTW and I quailfy for the best possible rates from my insurance company and have for the majority of my 29 years of driving.

If you feel not talking on a cell phone under any circumstance works best for you then great go with that. OTOH, employing technology that GM installed in my vehicle is NOT illegal to use anywhere in this country, so I'm going go with that. Peace.

While I agree on not holding operating dialing texting on your phone I disagree on the whole bluetooth thing. My wife calls, I touch 1 button, same as adjusting my AC or W/E and have a conversation with her like shes in the car, you gunna outlaw talking in the car at all, sorry but lol won't ever happen. I think responsible hands free is fine, you saying I'm too stupid to talk with my passenger or talk at all and drive?

lol
