I think I'll probably stick with SCT since I have no knowledge of tuning whatsoever but I'll definitely look into the HP Tuners. The good thing about SCT is that I could just have janettey racing email me the tunes and once I get a few more mods finished, I'll have it dyno tuned. Right now I'm just working on saving the money to buy a tuner so we will see when the time comes. Thanks for the help!

I think you'll do great with an SCT from JRE. HP Tuners appeals to the old computer geek in me (back in the 80's I designed flight control software on fighter jets. ).

Look under: Engine -> Fuel -> COT, Lean Cruise

and change "DOD" to "Disable".

You can also disable it in individual gears in the "Disable Gear" table.

padre, sorry i was late to the show, but enjoyed the build. i recently purchaced a 2011 camaro ss and i have questions after having read the thread. first i need to explain i'm new to forums so if i'm breaking any rules let me know. you mentioned a "drone" coming from the car before you started your build. was that from the stock exhaust (and is that the borla exhaust you mentioned). next, for someone who can turn a wrench but may not be as mechanically inclined as you, is it possible to add on the CAI and exhaust (how much of an issue is the burning wires with the shorties) lots more questions but i'll start here. thanks
